From Ziggytek Blog: LG, the world’s 3rd largest manufacturer of cellular phones has put Samsung and all its competitors on notice, they’re gunning for the #2 spot and they’re sure they’ll get there by 2012. Photos of the new group T-ara have been unveiled. All six members look like this. It’s…interesting… I seriously hope they’re wearing wigs.

Blood: The Last Vampire is set to come out in limited release on July 10th and a wide release on July 17th across the US. Ningin has covered this anime remake quite a bit since it debut in Japan during May. Based on the initial reviews on Rottentomatoes and IMDB, the movie hasn’t been critically accepted but the fans of the anime seem to like it. But it’s an Asian movie, with lots of Asian actors, and based on an Asian movie. In other words, it’s time for a movie pin game! More »

Namco Bandai knows how to think. They have gotten a few famous mangakas (Japanese word for comic book artists) to design some costumes for the console edition of Tekken 6. One of the designers is the oh-so famous Clamp, known for their unique styles and storylines in Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa, XXXholic, X, and many more. More »

From Ziggytek Blog: If you love talking and dark places then Samsung has the phone for you. Today Samsung released the SCH-W760, their first night vision camera phone.

The phone doesn’t offer too much, almost a basic smartphone with a 3Mpix camera, a 2.8” WQVGA AMOLED screen, 8GB of internal memory. I’m not sure what anyone would do with a night vision camera unless you’re creating Paris Hilton like sex tapes. Either way it’s a feature that Samsung thinks the people in Korea would actually want. Who knows, maybe this is the new type of video that becomes popular on YouTube. More »

From Ziggytek Blog: If you’ve been on eBay lately, you’ve probably noticed the hundreds of fake gadgets made in China and sold here in the states. It ranges from phones to down to small things like earphones. With every new phone launch, the knockoffs are getting better. One of the most popular knockoffs has been the iPhone. (Pictures of the fake iPhone’s transformation after the break) More »

Ladies and especially gentlemen, please meet Jarah Mariano. I’ve added her to a few of my posts now but she’s worth adding every single time her name comes up. Super sexy Mariano is probably best know for her Victoria Secret model work, but now she’s working with Clazziquai, one of my favorite KPOP groups. Exciting news indeed! Do yourself a favor and click through to see a short video of her!

June was another strong month for our EXP system. That’s why we put together the Ningin Summer Rewards promo, in appreciation of our traffic growth thanks to you guys. Like I said before if July turns out to be another surprising month of traffic, we just might extend the Summer Rewards promo to August as well. More »

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs didn’t turn out to be a very good movie. The Rottentomatoe tally finished at 35% last night which is just so-so. It’s the lowest score out of all the movie pin games done thus far. Well, often times a good movie is what you make of it. Transformers isn’t critically acclaimed but its mashing at the box office. SNSD is officially off the Richter scale. There is far too much going on for these hot vixens to even comprehend. SNSD was second only to Michael Jackson on Youtube views at one point, and on another day having the most views. To summarize, So Nyeo Shi Dae is a force to be reckoned with. More »

I don’t know if you care or not, but 2NE1’s latest single, “I Don’t Care” dropped yesterday. I kind of care, obviously. Actually, I don’t care what you think, but I’ll just say that it’s catchy and convenient for times when you just don’t care. More »

Yao Ming, aka the most famous Asian athlete in the world, might miss the entirety of the next NBA season. However, that’s not the worst case scenario. According to ESPN, the stress fracture in his foot could be career threatening. Never mind the impact this has on his team, the Houston Rockets, and never mind the impact this has on the parity of the always heated Western NBA conference, I’m wondering what this could possibly mean to Asian basketball in general. Asian drama fans, I have a confession to make. I have Asian Drama ADD. Meaning, the chances of me watching an actual primetime Asian TV show are super slim. I’m a scatter shot viewer — watch a few episodes here, watch a few there. 2005 was the last time I watched a drama in it’s entirety. I blame it on the recycled plotlines and characters and the lack of drug use and sleaze. More »

Aside from giving me gas, I can agree that dumplings are pretty good. Are they good enough to risk a bitch-fit from your older sister? Probably not. Unless you decide to cleverly steal them for the purpose of capturing your sister’s bitch fit on hidden camera. That is exactly what this person did: More »

I just got back from a nice vacation in the Bahamas. It’s something I highly recommend everyone should do. Just being able to disconnect from a computer and have no work and no worries. What a great feeling! Anyway, back to Asian stuff. Not much has changed in the past few days. SNSD and Wonder Girls are dominated headlines - SNSD in Asia and Wonder Girls in the US. The person that came up with the sailor outfits for SNSD should get a huge raise! I think people will buy their new album just for the photos alone, forget the music ^^
