For those of you living under a rock, America’s Best Dance Crew only premiered for the first time in February 2008. As expected, the show was a great hit and lasted 7 episodes plus a live audition episode. However, the sixth episode (before the series finale) had the biggest upset I’ve ever seen (bigger than the NY Giants winning the Super Bowl): Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez voted as the bottom two. Hoc and I concluded that it was probably because the Asian vote was split but come on, Status Quo better than Kaba Modern?

Not only did their routine get a negative feedback, it wasn’t even that good…actually none of their routines were that good. I honestly liked Iconic or Live in Color better than them. But anyways Jabbawockeez won and that’s all that mattered. I would have raised hell if it were any other way.


Now this season started again with another big upset that’s got fans talking: Fanny Pak picked over Team Millenia (TM). I’m all for the 80’s style but I thought that this was America’s Best Dance Crew? Team Millenia is 10x better than half of the crew that auditioned and many people seem to agree. Unfortunately the crew was competing for a spot against all the other West coast crews who definitely had the most talent along with the South. If they were against the East, TM would have had it.

I understand they want to bring something new to the show but cheerleaders only remind me of Femme Five. Not really new is it? Shh! brought salsa which is actually a more creative dance style than uh let’s say the 80’s There’s a reason why it died.

Please MTV, bring Team Millenia back.

I don’t understand why won’t just make the numbers public. What’s wrong with full transparency in a show like this? Hell, why doesn’t American Idol have transparency too. Until that happens, there’ll always be speculation.


Kaba never messed up once except when they changed the music on them during that last week performance. Status Quo got so many bad comments from the judges and almost got eliminated during the first week. They really weren’t that good, so it’s crazy that they beat Kaba Modern.


Oh man don’t get me started on this. What’s crazy was that Status Quo actually thought they had a chance versus Jabba…


I just watch TM again and they were really good. I think they had the potential to be top 3…


I would agree that Lil Mama can’t seem to maintain her objectivity. I remember one time, she talked about Status Quo like they were the hardest luck team overcoming the most adversity out of any groups. In reality, every team had it hard. It wasn’t like any team was rich and had dancing as a professional career.


Hoc, I second that motion!


Okay yeah Fanny Pak was good but they weren’t better than TM imo.


Even if TM was better than Fanny, then won’t get past SS or SoReal.


ierno, I thought Fanny Pak was pretty different. It’s kinda like how break skate got in. I don’t like how they divide the teams by regions cuz weak teams from the East gets in.


They need to replace Lil Mama and JC with someone who actually has dance talent like Wade Robson


LOL yea! Re-opening up old wounds...I don’t think this is gonna bring back TM, but dear god...Femme Five really sucked.

Who would you replace Lil Mama with?


Actually, it wasn’t a conclusion, just a hypothesis.

Fanny Pak was a huge surprise for me though. My suggestion, take away Lil Mama and put in a real judge.
