Two days ago, three Korean teenaged boys who call themselves Council of Mages won $36,000 dollars by playing World of Warcraft at the World Wide Invitational in Paris, France. While I love games and how much they consume the life out of me, I couldn’t help but be happy that Korea won. Dae han min gook!

However, this is not the only division Korea spanked everyone else at. They also won first in Starcraft and Warcraft III, two of the biggest games from Blizzard. Contrary to popular belief that Asians game way too much, Korea actually didn’t do so well last year. In 2007, Seoul, Korea was the host of the tournament and lost to France in the final round. Now back with a vengeance, Korea wins all three tournaments on France’s turf. How do you like them apples?

They took on Spain – Improved Clicks who actually beat them 3-1 in the first series. Like a lot of Koreans I know, Council of Mages were cocky and said they would win against Spain with 3 – 0. So when they lost they said “we let them win”. Yeah okay buddy, you sound like Tiffany from SNSD. Anyways they came back the next series 3 – 0 and won. Good game.
