America’s Best Dance Crew Episode 4

It’s like this show gets more predictable and boring every week. The entire time I was just counting down to when it would end. Last week was a step up and I was hoping that would carry on to this week but I was sadly disappointed. This week the challenge was to “speed up”. Each crew had to go from slow to fast while incorporating a transition. There wasn’t anything better?

The first crew to be in the top is Boogie Bots leaving no surprise Supreme Soul in the bottom. What happened to that cockiness?

Every time Boogie Bots mention Jozar’s father, who’s comatose, I can’t help but feel incredibly sad. I find it admirable that he can still dance and be focus while his father is in a serious condition. This week they performed to Lil’ Wayne – Lolipop. It definitely wasn’t as good as last weeks actually no where near last week’s performance. Then again I think this is the most stupid challenge ever. Judges noticed how sloppy it was but commended Jozar’s focus and wished his father the best.

Next up was between Super Crew and Fanny Pak. After last week’s routine, isn’t it obvious?

Super Crew performed to Santogold – Creator. They definitely are the most original crew on the show but their creativity didn’t really shine as much as it did last week. Again, disappointed and I couldn’t believe it. I was looking forward to seeing the crew own this challenge, but I didn’t see anything memorable. At least their transition was cool. Judges praised how original they are in addition to their tricks but they weren’t blown away and JC still thinks b-boying isn’t dancing. He’s really needs to take his boy band ass back to the has-been section.

Next were ASSID, So Real and Phresh Select. Phresh Select was of course in the bottom.

ASSID performed to Kardinal Offishall feat Akon – Dangerous. Last week I was disappointed at how sloppy they were but turns out Joey lost his hearing aid mid routine. But I didn’t notice him being off, more like it was the other members. Joey’s also having problems this week because he has even more difficulty hearing fast music. I couldn’t tell looking at their routine. It was better than last weeks with their incorporation of various dance styles like ballet, swing and hip hop although the routine wasn’t that impressive. Judges noticed the fuse and praised their smoothness in addition to Joey for doing so well.

So Real performed to Chris Brown – With You. This song was my favorite out of all the other, definitely perfect for crew. Their routine got a little sexy and played again with the boy girl aspect. When they finished, it sounded like the audience was booing? Anyways the judges loved the song and their moves to the slow portion of the dance but when it got fast, they didn’t rise. It was Ailyn’s birthday.

The last three crews and only one of them was saved. I was kind of shocked who was saved since Supreme Soul is suppose to be good. Fanny Pak was the only saved crew leaving Phresh Select and Supreme Soul to battle it out.

Fanny Pak performed to Mariah Carey – Touch My Body. They did this whole prom thing that was very theatrical as always. It was step up from last week but nothing impressive. I know they’re the “under dogs” and they definitely did better than I expected but they’re not America’s Best Dance Crew material.  Judges loved their attitude and theatrics. They also were the only crew that the judges said owned the challenge.

Next we move on to the bottom crew with Phresh Select performed first to Daphne Joy feat Fabolous – Shawty is a Ten. Their team chemistry sucks and I think that’s what ruined it for them, not to mention the random plastic doll. They tried to do the “scorpion” move and while Lil’ Mama said they pulled it off, Mark who was having trouble looked like he half assed it. Honestly what’s so hard about the move? Newb.

Supreme Soul performed to Shop Boyz – Party Like A Rockstar. They said they were shocked they were in the bottom four. Have they not been watching the show? Especially with Boogie Bots and Super Crew around, they really need to step up their game which they did this week, surprisingly. It was definitely different and the most impressive routine they’ve done yet. However still nothing better than what the other crews have done. Judges said they need to want to win and did well this week. Can we expect this next week? If not I hoped they leave because I’m tired of seeing them fail.

The crew to go home was Phresh Select. No surprise. Next week I expect either Supreme Soul or Fanny Pak to leave. Right now it seems like a close call with all the crew.

Next week’s challenge is another Jackson hit only this time it’s Janet Jackson. At least she’s sane. Don’t forget to vote MTV ABDC Vote before 6AM EST.
