A lot of famous people attended Hong Kong’s power acting couple Tony Leung and Carina Lau‘s wedding in Bhutan earlier this week. Carina’s best friend, Faye Wong
was there as well. Though retired, my girl still travels like a rock
star. She took an entourage of six people with her to Bhutan. It
consisted of her husband (Chinese actor Li Yapeng),
her two daughters (an infant and an early teen), her mother-in-law, her
assistant and her manager Katie Chan (she used to manage huge stars
like the late Leslie Cheung).
Anyway, the whole family arrived in Bangkok yesterday on their way back
to Beijing and as usual the crazed HK paparazzi were already waiting at
the airport with their cameras ready. Their target - Faye’s one year
old daughter, Li Yan. Little Li Yan was born with a cleft lip but
underwent a successful corrective surgery last year. The public has
never seen a picture of Li Yan before so naturally these paparazzi were
hungry for her pictures like a pack of wolves waiting for a lamb to
pass by.
When Faye’s mother-in-law showed up with Li-Yan, the paparazzi
surrounded her and some even shoved their cameras within inches of the
poor infant’s face. Poor old lady was scared shitless so her son had to
jump in. Li Yapeng asked the paparazzi repeatedly to stop taking
pictures of his little girl. But when they did not listen to him (some
even provoked him with words like “so what, I want to take pictures of
her and you can’t stop me!”), he had to open up a can of whoopass. He
kicked some sharp tongue bitch and slapped some lame ass dude. I can’t
blame him. He was only trying to protect his little girl. Those bitches
got what they deserved. Here’s a clip of how the whole thing went down.
7/25 Update: They settled this at the local Thai police station. Li
Yapeng apologized to the reporters for attacking them and the reporters
apologized to him for being overly aggressive with his baby daughter.
Li will compensate the reporter for the camera he broke while slapping
him around.

Hahah! Me too! I would completely flip out but then again I would have taken extra measure to ensure my privacy.

Hahaha! Yeah I can’t imagine how pissed I would be. He apologized later though. -.-;
Yeah but I wonder how many times he has apologized to other people. Wonder if he even means it. Wonder how many others he’ll go after blood thirsty. Has he changed his ways? Only time can tell. Or maybe we could all be there like a fly on the wall

I’m glad he did what he did. If that were my baby I’d kick some arse too. That camera guy would of been on the floor with his camera bounced across and into some unknown terminal.
I think there will be outcry if they do sue. He’s only protecting his kid.

But he slapped them. That’s assault.
They practically attacked the mom and kid, they have no reason to sue!
It’s not like America. haha I wouldn’t be surprised though.
wonder if a lawsuit will result from this.
The little girl must of been so scared.

That’s what I’m wondering. Ayumi had like 10 with her when she went to HK.
I feel so sorry for the girl and the mother in law. They piratically attacked her! Don’t they have body guards?

Yeah, he had a right to be mad. What is with the pappas? I think all children are precious....is a child worth more because their mom or dad is a celebrity? Sheesh.
They should have taken a private plane.
Wow he really slaps him too. haha

Good for him! Paparazzi are getting out of hand. Yes, as celebrities, they can shoot as many pictures as they want, but to completely disrespect the privacy of that baby was crossing the line. I think it should be a rule or something world wide that says Paps are not allowed to shoot children of celebs unless they’re on “fair ground” as in red carpet events.
I’m glad he slapped them. How can you say so what? ><
