Dong Bang Shinki (DBSK or TVXQ) has confirmed that they’ve been banned on Music Station, TRL of Japan, regardless of being chart toppers for the past few weeks on Oricon Daily and Weekly. Music Station usually invites the top 10 artists on the charts to perform on the show except for DBSK.
Why? No idea, but conspiracy theories say it’s because Music Station has a secret agreement with Johnny’s Entertainment – Japanese talent agency. Even though Johnny’s Entertainment’s main company, Johnny & Associates, Inc., does deals with Avex Trax (TVXQ’s Japanese label) all the time. Supposedly they’re doing it because having TVXQ perform will threaten the label.
Honestly, they have nothing on Avex Trax, the biggest label in Japan who also owns a lot of other labels like Rhythm Zone. I’m sure fans will cry out against Music Station and Johnny’s Entertainment and eventually the sexy DBSK will get their chance on the show. Especially since their recent single is so hard to resist.
