Ok, I am not one who basks in other people’s misery but this news totally made my day! The slut of all sluts Tila Tequila was not thrilled with the outcome of the season 2 of her crappy reality show. She selected Kristy Morgan as the person who won her love but Kristy was smart enough to say no. Apparently Miss Thing here thought she was hot shit and would never get rejected by anyone. I can’t blame Kristy. After all, who would wanna be with someone whose mouth has been everywhere. I bet you can contract STDs just by talking to her.

Hey all, if you have any feedback about our video player or any part of our video streaming application, we would like to know. Specifically, let us know about download speed, page load time, and any bugs you find.
Sorry about the bugs here and there the past couple of days and for some site downtime. We had to push our video streaming app, currently called “Mediastream”, out much earlier than anticipated to work with the AAFilmLab and their Shootout. It’s still months away from completion.
The site downtime issues should be fixed. We launched the streaming of the Shootout films the same day the charity event was widely announced and had huge spikes in traffic that our servers could not handle. We’ve since upgraded our server hardware as of 4am EST this morning.
Some of the videos have encoding issues, specifically ”Cold War” by Color TV. There’s some weird encoding issue that only affects that video and I haven’t had time to figure it out with the Sichuan Charity event we’re co-sponsoring and co-organizing.
There’s one more team video we haven’t uploaded yet, from team Ying Yang With a Twist. Their video was submitted late and so we’ll post it whenever it’s ready.
First off, wtf is Mario wearing? So this week on America’s Best Dance Crew was the third episode of the second season. The challenge this week was “Rock the Title” where each crew was given a song title that they would have to visually illustrate in their routine. Even though this challenge was recycled from last season, I actually like it.

I don’t buy figurines nor do I find them particularly necessary but after seeing this one, I don’t think I can resist. Little Miss Hatsune Miku is being given a new face. No it’s not plastic surgery although she is made of plastic in this version. Good Smile Company has just blogged about their limited edition Hatsune Miku nendoroid. It’ll be released at the Wonder Festival with three different faces. This is by far the cutest figurine I’ve seen.
For the past few weeks Ningin and Museum of Chinese America have been secretly planning a massive Charity Event for the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake. It took us a while, but we finally have the big details locked down. Jabbawockeez is the main performing artist along with Ryan Leslie, Beau Sia, and Andrew Choi. Also special guest appearances by Park Jin Young (JYP) and Ken Leung, aka Miles from the TV show Lost. The incredible Minya Oh, Miss Info of HOT 97, will be the event host. There’s more performers and celebrities pending confirmation, but it’s a pretty big lineup already.
Save the date! Saturday July 12th, 7:30pm at Pace University’s Michael Schimmel Center of the Arts Auditorium!
100% of the proceeds from this event goes directly to MercyCorps.
While this is all fun and entertaining, the overriding goal is to maintain awareness of the earthquake victims in China and the cyclones in Burma. Already these disasters have fallen of the headlines in mainstream media but tens of millions of people need our help there and will continue to need help for many years to come.
This Jabbawockeez headlined performance is really just the first step towards that goal. Ningin and many others will partner together to develop a special microsite dedicated to maintaining awareness for these victims and we welcome anyone else who wants to join the cause. I’ll update what this entails as more details get confirmed. For now, if you are an Asian blogger or a blog that covers Asian stuff, contact me via Ningin private message to see how you can get a ticket to this event and get involved!

I’m not a fan or hater of So Nyuh Shi Dae (Girl’s Generation/SNSD) but man do I hate arrogant people. This SM Entertainment all girl pop product contains 9 members: Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (the leader), Jessica and Sunny. The one that’s annoying; however, is Tiffany.

I swear this wedding is bigger than a royal wedding. Everyone, at least in Asia, is talking about it. It’s the wedding of Hong Kong superstar Tony Leung and Carina Lau. Earlier reports stated that these two high profile celebrities were planning to tie the knot in October at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong. Now a few Asian papers have confirmed that the big date is July 21 and they will be exchanging their vows in Bali, Indonesia instead.

Hey Jim, you’re cool because you’re old like me : ) Check out my interview with Jim Chu, filmmaker and owner of White Rabbit Lounge in NYC:

Two days ago, three Korean teenaged boys who call themselves Council of Mages won $36,000 dollars by playing World of Warcraft at the World Wide Invitational in Paris, France. While I love games and how much they consume the life out of me, I couldn’t help but be happy that Korea won. Dae han min gook!

Gay men love survivors. No, I am not talking about the reality show on CBS. I am talking about female celebrities who manage to stage a successful career comeback after suffering from a serious case of domestic violence, mental/physical illness or career downward spiral. Divas like Cher and Tina Turner are survivors in the eye of gay men. Madonna? She’s the goddess of everything apparently. Britney? We’ve all lost hope in her. Anyway, it seems that the “Gay Hall of Survivors” can now open its pink and fierce door to its newest recruit, Japanese diva Ayumi Hamasaki.
