FHM (For Him Magazine) is best known for its sexy, and at times sleazy, pictorials that send the blood pressure of straight guys and gayelles around the world rising. You know it’s a substitute for guys who are too embarrassed to pick up a copy of Playboy or Hustler from the newstand. Originated from the U.K., the magazine has a subscription base of 10 million horny dudes in 31 countries. In September, FHM will have provided these horndogs with numerous whack off materials for 10 straight years.
The Korean pop star, Rain (Bi), is finally being called to court by Click Entertainment for the abrupt cancellation of his Hawaiian concert in June 2007. Surprisingly I feel sorry for the mullet monkey especially since he’s being sued for 4 million dollars. With that type of money he could learn English!
Your manly looking idol is going to release an album in October and take part in a comeback program with major Korean broadcaster MBC.
After attempting to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and realizing that he doesn’t have much of an acting talent, Rain has decided to return to his comfort zone, which is recording sub-standard songs and shaking his bon bon for his screaming fans. According to the Asian Michael Jackson, this will be an album made for all his Asian fans. It contains both Korean and English songs. It even has some of the songs that Rain wrote for himself. Great, we are so in for a treat! I am sure one of the songs he wrote is about how he was falling in love with a dude girl but she fell sick and left him after she found out she was going to die soon. This is a typical plot in a Korean soap. Most Asian girls love that kind of crap. They will even shed a tear or two whenever that song comes on the radio.
Kal Penn, the Asian American actor who has starred in several movies, including the famous “Harold and Kumar” stoner movie franchise (in which he plays “Kumar”), was spotted in a green neon vest working on the floor of the Democratic National Convention this past week. Being a big supporter of Senator Barack Obama, the 31 year-old actor has been traveling around the country hoping to lend his star power to generate more support for the Presidential nominee.
I’m a bit disappointed with this week’s round up since most of the songs didn’t really interest me. Also I’m a bit sad that the Olympics finally ended. I didn’t get to catch the closing ceremony but I heard it wasn’t as good as the opening.
Anyways for those of you reading this and unaware, GirlyBubble is having their launch party on Sept. 10th in New York City. If you’re in the area be sure to come as it’s free. My favorite little leek spinning princess will now be grazing the screen of the PSP according to a recent announcement by Famitsu magazine. The game is title, Miku Hatsune – Project Diva unfortunately, whether or not it’ll be released in the US is still unknown. I’m keeping my hopes up anyways or maybe I’ll finally get off my arse and learn Japanese.
MBC star wedding variety show “We Got Married” is one of the most talked about shows in Korea featuring various Kpop stars paired together as if they were husband and wife. One of the more talked about couples is Jewelry’s Seo In Young and Crown J. They’ve debuted earlier this year together and have been active together outside of the show such as collaborations and wedding photos. Well now, they’re going to further that relationship. At first I thought she was crazy but turns out the mushroom head will actually be playing pretend with “We Got Married” honey Crown J.

We’ve been quietly testing our newest community, GirlyBubble.com for about a week and we’re ready now to show the world! How many of you watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics last night? Yes stupid NBC did the much delayed broadcasting as usual but I should not be complaining, since I got to see my husband the much talented Wang Lee Hom perform. He was among the six Asian stars who sang the song “Beijing Beijing I Love Beijing”. Darn! He was mighty fine if you ask me.
The much anticipated MNet 20’s Choice Award finally aired this past Saturday. There were many performances none of which are spectacular but one did catch my attention.
Wonder Girls teamed up with Jun Jin to perform Justin Timberlake – Sexy Back and their hit single Tell Me. Why they had some random FOB singing in English, I have no idea. He didn’t pull it off well and it brought back horrifying memories of William Hung. In addition, the Wonder Girls didn’t do much but take off a silver rain coat that could give someone a seizure. They also didn’t pull off being sexy very well then again any hopes of being sexy were completely ruined by Jun Jin’s engrish skills.
Better late than never! I usually post in on Saturdays since Fridays is dedicated to America’s Best Dance Crew. But ABDC is over now and the winner is Super Crew, congrats to them! So I’ll be posting on Fridays from now on.
But that doesn’t explain why this post is a day late. So recently we’ve launched a new website called GirlyBubble and it’s about duh! girl stuff. It’ll feature two new bloggers in addition to me plus a guest blogger whom you may know. :O It’s been a great project so far and I hope the rest of you like. Please show us your support and visit the site. Thanks!

I just saw one of the best, most dramatic and meaningful baseball games in a long time this morning, South Korea vs. Cuba in the gold medal match of the Beijing Olympics. Let me try to setup the stage for you. Cuba is to international baseball like Brazil is to World Cup soccer, perennial powerhouse. The three favorites to medal were Japan, Cuba, and the United States, so South Korea according to odds makers, wasn’t even suppose to medal. Somehow, South Korea improbably won 8 straight games including defeating Japan in the semi-finals one day prior. Cuba defeated the United States in the semis losing only once to South Korea in regular play and looking to avenge their loss. And Cuba easily has the best hitters in the game, some good enough for the Major Leagues, but South Korea has dominant pitching, especially today’s champ and Korean Ace, Ryu Hyun-jin. (more on Ryu later)
I love Margaret Cho. Not only is she funny, this girl keeps it real! I have been to her show several times and have chatted with her on one occasion. She was very nice and sure was funny as hell! There are two female comedians that I would buy tickets to see their stand up routines. One is Kathy Griffin. The other is my girl Margaret Cho. Both are greatly adored by gay men.
Finaly! The season was starting to go in the biggest slump of its life but it’s on the last episode for the second season and that means a winner. But not just yet. All the crews that were previously eliminated are back again to take the stage along side the two finalists.
The first performance of the night was from the two finalist So Real and Super Crew. They did a collaboration routine to an unknown song that featured the two crews working together and dissing each other. It was a good opening to the show that had me excited to actually watch the show (and it’s been awhile since that’s happened). Judges loved them and pointed out all their highlights and overall agreed they deserved to be there. As if they would say they didn’t.
Afterwards came all the other crews from all coasts. They were sporting national flags from various countries, I’m assuming in support of the Olympics.

After the embarrassing rejection on her show a couple of months back, Tila Tequila appears to have bounced back from it and found herself a girl, a rich girl in fact. Her name is Courtenay Semel, daughter of Yahoo! mogul Terry Semel. Apparently these two have been dating for about six months now. Right, six weeks is more like it. I give this relationship 60 more days, long enough for Tila’s crabs to go away. Bitch cannot sleep with others that freely when she’s running a Joe’s Crab Shack down there. Courtenay has an insatiable appetite for crabs so I’m sure she does not mind that at all.
Earlier this week I contacted James Yee about him being chosen as a national delegate and what will it will entail at this years Democratic Convention from August 25-28.
James Yee is the “former US Army Chaplain and graduate of West Point who served as the Muslim Chaplain for the U.S. prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba that would become controversial for its treatment of detainees designated as “enemy combatants” by the U.S. government. While ministering to prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, Captain Yee advised the commanders of the camp on detainee religious practices and objected to the cruel and degrading abuses to which the prisoners were subjected.
If you follow women’s gymnastics, you know that Shawn Johnson finally got her gold medal Tuesday morning, edging out teammate Nastia Liukin with a fantastic balance beam routine. And the man supporting her is her coach, Liang Chow, himself a member of the Chinese national gymnastics team in the 1980’s. He’s the unsung hero behind her success—and her great attitude.
In the extensive news coverage I’ve seen on Johnson, she refers to her Chinese coach and his wife as “my second parents.” Teri and Doug Johnson, Shawn’s parents, appreciate the important relationship. In an article for the August 2008 issue of Guideposts, Teri recounts Coach Chow’s mastery in managing Johnson’s personality. Other gymnastics teachers were frustrated by Shawn’s hyperactive behavior. Chow, who owns a gym in West Des Moines, Iowa, knew how to harness it. “I love her energy. That’s what you need in this sport.” Teri stated, “He kept her interest by keeping her challenged.”

The sounds of hip-hop, Soul, and a little violin filled the air in one of the trendiest Brooklyn bars, Public Assembly, as Resonating Awareness Worldwide (R.A.W) brought together the coasts for the AM Classic. At first it appeared to be a coastal split with East Coast artists taking up the stage in one room and West Coast in the other but the tech and audio crews created a more harmonious idea. The main room focused on the spinners, scratchers, and MCs mixing their beats with a little freestyling flair. Artists from both coasts came up including Hydroponikz, Magnetic North, the Misnomer(s), and the combo of DJ Dstrukt, Dumbfounded, Youthinasia, and Lyraflyp. The back room had the sounds of live musicians with Heather Park, Cynthia Lin, Kelly Tsai, and Warhol Soup. Filling out the rest of the bill for the night were Jay Legaspi, Deep Foundation, DJ Boo, and Brooklyn’s own Koba.
Hurdler champion Liu Xiang has been the center of attention in recent Olympic news after he had walked away from his most anticipated race.
Liu Xiang has been the center of attention since the 2004 Athens Olympics where he became the first Chinese man to win an athletics gold in the 110m hurdles. He has also set a world record in 2006 and captured a world championship in 2007. Liu then became more than an athlete but a hero to China.
