I love Margaret Cho. Not only is she funny, this girl keeps it real! I have been to her show several times and have chatted with her on one occasion. She was very nice and sure was funny as hell! There are two female comedians that I would buy tickets to see their stand up routines. One is Kathy Griffin. The other is my girl Margaret Cho. Both are greatly adored by gay men.

Margaret’s reality show, titled “The Cho Show” is on VH1 every Thursday at 11pm EST. It premiered last Thursday. The episode featured her getting an Entertainment Achievement Award from KoreAm Journal. It also featured our girl getting a bodypaint and her parents’ reaction to it. The show stars Margaret, her nutty assistant, her three gays and her two adoring parents. Her camera shy husband is not featured on the show. It’s a good natured reality show, unlike the many others that are currently out there. Still some drama on the show would be nice. Hey Margaret, what about inviting that self hating Last Comic Standing reject, Esther Ku on your show and show her how real comedy is done? Feel free to bitchslap her a little… or a lot.

^ You’re not being offensive because these are words that actually came out of her mouth. That’s why I stopped watching her stand-up for a loooong time. For now I’ll stick to watching her show. They did show her last week in a two piece bathing suit and I didn’t see any fat.


Wow… so there ARE actual human beings that like Margie Cho…
I personally think she tries too hard to be overly raunchy…
Talking about pu$$ies and d!cks… leave that to Chris Rock…

My fav quote from one of her act has to be…

“I need to be F@cked 3 times a day by 4 different guys...”

She use to be skinnier and by that I don’t mean super model but you know average. But her face looked so starved and boney.

I like that she’s not skinny, and comfortable being a curvy woman.

Yeah that’s cool too that she hasn’t conformed to the “hollywood norm” and made herself turn into a pencil stick. Statistics show the MAJORITY of American women are a size 14-16. The frames of some women are not designed to be a size zero or negative. Albeit, that doesn’t mean in anyway it’s ok to eat yourself into oblivion or not ever exercise. Be sure to check out the show this coming week! wink


I didn’t know there were so many Cho fans.


Did not get to see this one. My hubby and I are big Margaret Cho fans. It’s nice to see a Korean woman who not only breaks the stereotypes, but squashes them under her foot and grinds them into the carpet. I like that she’s not skinny, and comfortable being a curvy woman. I am a little shocked by the body paint, though. Oh well--to each her own.


There’s a lot more Asians in TV now, even more than last year! I think that’s a really positive sign for Asians in general. Still not a lot, but a lot more than before!

LOL yeah but it’s hilarious! I didn’t expect to laugh much, but it was cool. I like her parents, they crack me up and they’re so cool. I laughed when Margaret talked about the Korean reporter that said she was the worst thing that happened to Koreans since the DMZ. But that’s sad to. If someone said that to me I don’t know how I’d handle that! That little lady named Selene is a total rocket! I loved it when she were a tiny hanbok to the KoreaAm Journal award show. She compared hers to an “ajuma’s” hanbok thinking hers was better. Then she said, “look at us we’re floating around” referring to the hanboks, LOL I thought Margaret was gonna get booed when she did her stand up at the awards show, cause the peoples’ faces were stern. I thought her parents were gonna have to save her from a whuppin’! LOL Then the crowd started laughing. Thank God for that! looool I saw a glimpse of Jason Kyson Lee and Will Yun Lee and that made me gleeful. Next week’s show looks good to, so I’ll be checking it out again.
