I’m a bit disappointed with this week’s round up since most of the songs didn’t really interest me. Also I’m a bit sad that the Olympics finally ended. I didn’t get to catch the closing ceremony but I heard it wasn’t as good as the opening.

Anyways for those of you reading this and unaware, GirlyBubble is having their launch party on Sept. 10th in New York City. If you’re in the area be sure to come as it’s free. Plus there’s going to be hot models and photographers there in addition to the GirlyBubble girls. Check here for more event details.

Hyori Lee – Mr. Big

Hyori’s 2nd single off her recent album “It’s Hyorish”. Definitely not better than her first single including music and fashion although it is catchy. The diva has been slacking lately and I’m worried she’s lost her glamour after 2 years of nothing. Too bad though, she was always my favorite Finkl member.

Big Bang – Day After Day

I have never been a Big Bang fan because they always dressed really stupid but this song has actually changed my mind about them. It’s basically about a girl and two of the members fight over her, etc. They battle back and forth throughout the song which I thought was interesting and unique. Now only if they could look as good as the song then maybe I would like them more.

Arashi – Truth

Arashi always has the weirdest songs but some how they’re still going strong after 10 years. This song is very different from what I’m use to hearing from them as it is dark and emoish. However it somehow keeps the Arashi happy go lucky feel at the same time. Odd. Not one of my favorites and I actually miss the explosion of happiness they usually have.

Buono! – Gachiko de ikou

Three cute girls singing, what’s not to like? I really didn’t listen to the song the first time around as I was too busy staring at them playing poker in school girl outfits. Not bad at all. Never heard of this group before but they manage to make it onto the Oricon charts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they never made it again.

Leah Dizon – Step Into My World

Her Japanese is weak and it reflects in the song. Her only single that was really good was her first one, “L-O-V-E-U”. I’m surprised this scandalous porn car model is still kicking in Japan as I don’t remember Japan putting up with skanks other than in the porn industry.
