This actually has nothing to do with really hot guys. I was shocked when I wrote this too. Anyways, this has to do with the anime OVA, Detroit Metal City (which also has a live action movie). The anime is about a young man, Negishi Soichi, who has finished college. He aspires to become a successful music artist. Negishi loves to sing sweet and very corny songs (inspired by Swedish pop music). But in some odd twist of fate, he has ended up as the lead singer of the death metal band, Detroit Metal City (or DMC for short).
Negishi is constantly living a double life switching between Negishi and Krauser, the persona he uses on stage. Krauser apparently killed his parents, his girlfriend, his friends, and the people he looks up to (all false of course). He constantly shouts profanity (”rape” and “f***” being some of his constantly used words) and how he’s constantly adding people to his list of people to kill. Negishi eventually runs into the girl he had feelings for in college, Yuri Aikawa. One day for a magazine, she went to a DMC concert to watch for a review and while on stage, Negishi ended up calling her a pig. Ever since, Negishi has been constantly covering his other persona, Krauser.
All I can really say is that this anime is crazy. Each episode is only 13 minutes long but there’s always something to look forward to. You can’t help but feel bad for Negishi. He probably would’ve quit the band if it weren’t for his manager. She’s just… odd. I’m up to episode four and I’m really hyped to see the other episodes. The movie is something to see too. Apparently, Gene Simmons is in it. That should be funny. The best part is that Negishi is played by Kenichi Matsuyama (his most well known role is L in Death Note). I saw the pictures of Negishi and I just could not tell who he was until I looked it up. I’m sure whoever looks up the trailer will be pleased. Just watching Negishi go between Negishi and Krauser is great. The review is so short because I’m just afraid I’ll give it all away, it’s that hilarious!
