One of my absolute favourite comedians of all time, Eliot Chang. All Asian, All American, and yet he doesn’t pepper his show with nothing but cheap Asian jokes, that one may find is the tendency of the “ethnic” comedian. To be fair, there are a few Asian jokes, but that that is not the emphasis of his shows, ala Russel Peters. Genuinely funny and refreshingly original, this guy’s comedy is hold your stomach, double over, die laughing funny. Like seriously, I laughed so hard my back hurt and then I was sad.

I don’t think I can post YouTube clips here (or perhaps I haven’t found out how to yet) but some of my favourite jokes include his Gay Friend material, and his Fetish joke.

I love him! He’s hilarious! Also, I think he’s sex0ry and hawt, and a little bit of superficialitiness never hurt anyone XD Byebye!

Meh, because people seem to forget that everyone is an immigrant somehow or other I suppose. In the words of a girl I once knew who summed it up so nicely, “Why do so many Asians come to New Zealand? Don’t they realize we colonized it first? Of course when I say bloody Asians I don’t mean that about you.” me---> *FaInT* She wasn’t even English. She was like Czech ancestry or something raspberry

OMG!!!! I second that zinger! He’s good! He’s made me laugh in less than a minute! My laughs came out naturally, not forced! The one where he got called “Jew boy” and told to “go back to Africa” loool was crazy-funny!

Anyone been discriminated by being mistaken for the wrong race? LOOL I have! hehe I was like “whaattt??!!” I was working in this department store and this racist bigot comes in. Didn’t know he was racist till he said that our “voiding” out his order cause he couldn’t make up his friggin’ mind was illegal! LMAO!!  He thought I was Puerto Rican and btw I was an illegal alien. Last time I checked, you’re not an illegal alien from Puerto Rico since its a commonwealth! I didn’t say I wasn’t Puerto Rican, I was like just let this fool bath in his ignorance. I just laughed at him, I said something smart mouthed but didn’t mean to,then he left out the store disgruntled.


I got to meet him last here at the CAPA festival. I actually bought a shirt at his booth for my friend eleanor.
