Wow! Just wow. There’s a lot that happened today but I’ll let the other bloggers take care of putting together a full write up. I just want to lay down some quick thoughts down before getting some much needed sleep and introduce some of the videos and photos we have.

Even though it was put together by the Korean Produce Association, this was far from a farmer’s market and more like Woodstock. The first person I met while getting backstage was an Officer David that works in special ops for NYPD. Didn’t know they had a special ops division in NYPD.

So far this is the biggest event Ningin has covered. I’m guessing about 7500 people must have came out to the Eastern most tip of Queens throughout the day. Some other people say 10,000. Others say 30,000. It’s a big park so I dunno. New York Anime Festival next weekend should top that though.

JYP really wants to break into the American market. A lot of the questions we asked in our interview were along those lines. But is he doing enough to make it happen? Is anyone helping him? I hope the answers are yes and yes because it would mean more stuff for Ningin to cover!

It’s been awhile since I listened to KPOP girl bands. Things change when you listen to artists live and meet them in person. Now I have some Wonder Girls songs on my shuffle and will probably buy their new album when it comes out.

Fangirls are kinda scary. People were climbing fences to get better views and when JYP was on his last song, the crowd tried to rush the stage but was held back (barely) by the army of security personnel hired for the event. I was taking photos right in front of the stage when that happen and my life flashed before my eyes.

Turns out one of the backup dancers for JYP is an old, old friend of mine named Jason Lee. When I was a senior in college, I organized a big cultural show and hired Jason Lee’s dance troupe, Company Soul to be the main attraction. Randomly, many years later, we meet again and he hasn’t lost a step!

Reunited with Miss Info. Some interesting stuff came up which I’ll hopefully be able to blog about more later.

Twice now I’ve had the chance to work with JYP and his people and twice they’ve treated Ningin really well. I guess it was good karma for putting together the Rebuilding the Bridge charity event. Many, many thanks to Hana for making things so easy for us and our staff of 9 bloggers, camera crews, photographers, and translators. Also special thanks to Soyoung Ahn for lending us her interview talents and the guys at AM 1660 for hiding water bottles for us! You literally saved the life of my cameraman David.

Great job ningin crew!

there goes that V-sign again =)
Good job guys!

Are we able to comment on the photos? Otherwise, it’s pretty cool.

Ah good ole Jason Lee. He came over to us at the GirlyBubble party and was like “Hey!” like we were all old friends. Very cool. smile

I remember that cultural show with Jason Lee. Too bad there wasn’t a YouTube back then…

I’m so proud of you guys for doing all of this and growing Ningin!

Now we just need more concerts with more people to cover. So I hope Chinese korean and Japanese celebs get on the ball and give them to us!

IT would be really NICE if we could have a PAN ASIAN POP festival or Rock Concert.!

All of the Wonder Girls look so thin in person! But Sun Ye was really nice. She posed for me and Jess when we took pictures! Their English has improved a lot too!
Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out! Great job everyone! Can’t wait for NYAF!
<3

They’re very cute. ^^ Nice taekwondo photo.

I can’t believe you guys got to interview them!

He got mad height in that photo.

They look really small in that photo, in a good way.

Eh I’m more interesting in G-Soul.

he’s got a great voice. =)

LOL. I did that with TMR. I didn’t cry at the concert but when I was on that line for an autograph and really close, I was done. I cried my eyes out but he gave me a hug. If I saw him now though, I think I can control myself. LOL.

I bet Mia is going to be all over JYP. hehe

I have promised my costaff and managment that for tomorrow that I will NOT throw JYP any of my undergarments, nor ask for his undergarments or ask to have his baby. I however warned them if JYP was too walk by me I may begin to drool uncontrollably and leave a wake of saliva puddles. So they must all wear golashes.

Nice you guys haven’t added video in awhile.

Cute photo of them. Phone number ju say yo?

I bet Mia is going to be all over JYP. hehe
