Which anime series would make the best MMO universe based on story, characters, and abilities?

It was really difficult just picking one anime as I’ve seen many and there are still a lot more that I haven’t. Most of the ones I have seen, I really enjoyed and felt as if I was picking which kid was my favorite so I decided to rely on my fan girl powers which worked out pretty well.

Fan girling it, I was trying to think which anime had the hottest guys in it. There’s just way too many to just pick one so why not combine them all into one MMO? It would be an epic version of Kingdom Hearts, Jump Super Stars and/or Super Smash Brothers. There’s a reason why those games are popular and it’s because you get to see all your favorite characters wail on each other not to mention they’re all bad ass.

The majority of my time would be spent man handling all the bishonens and bishojos but that’s beside the point. I would love to watch certain characters/groups battle each other like the Espada (Bleach) VS Akatsuki (Naruto) in addition to the characters people would come up with based on the different animes’ skill sets, fashion and culture. It would be a very complex game and it’s probably far from reality as of right now but I can’t help but to day dreaming of all the possibilities.

While the anime community is still small, this would an ideal way to promote anime in addition to introducing different characters/story lines/etc all at once. A lot to handle but if you’re willing to spend hours on end on a single game just grinding, why not spend it on something cooler?

The best anime series for MMO universe has to be Naruto.
What makes a good MMO universe is heavily dependent on how much
variety you can stuff into it. By that I mean characters, realms, equipments, jobs, things you can do. You want to be as unique as you can be. (It sucks when you spend 3 hours making your character and you find someone just like you =_=)

With that said, why does Naruto make a good MMO universe?
Naruto consists of many different countries. (eg: Fire, Water, Wind, Lightening etc) Within those countries there are many different villages. (eg: Hidden Leaf, Hidden Sand, Hidden Mist etc) And within each village there are different clans (eg: Uchiha, Hyuuga, Aburame etc) which have their own special abilities. Each character has their own jutsus (techniques) that they are good at. Taijutsu (Hand-to-hand combat), Ninjutsu (ninja techniques), and Genjutsu (Illusionary technique) are the 3 basic jutsus. Each character has his/her own natural attributes which include fire, wind, lightening, earth, water and many more. The combination that one can put in to each character are endless.

Besides making a character or village that is unique, there are also many different jobs that are offered to the ninjas, including something as easy as finding the lost cat, to protecting a loyalty, to assassinating an enemy. Job depends on the level of your skill and the different class that you are in (eg: Genin (low-level), Chuunin (mid), Jounin (high), Anbu (secret op), Kage (village leader) etc).
Also the fact that you can betray your village and become a wanted ninja in the Bingo Book and maybe even join Akatsuki to take over the world. Or become one of the legendary heroes like the Legendary Sennin. Wow… when is this game coming out???

What anime or manga would be a good mmo? Well for one, there’s a lot of anime or manga. One would need a decent plot and a balance of characters and the classes (jobs/professions/etc) for the mmo. What would I choose is probably ‘Fairy Tail’ by Mashima Hiro, also the author of the ‘Rave’ (or ‘Rave Master’). Why I choose this because, it has the perfect feel for a mmo, the style with guilds, style of characters (in the manga they’re called mages) but they all have unique skills. For example, the one of the main character, Natsu, he’s a dragonslayer using fire techniques, and another character, Gray who is an ice mage, uses ice techniques based of style of body and arm movements. One of my favorite characters, Erza who use a technique called ‘ex-quip’ changes her armor and weapon style of her choice, from full blown armor and sword (to take heavy blows) to simple cloth and bandages with katana(s) (for extreme agility and nimbleness). As you can see there’s potential for many different types of classes from this manga.

One thing that everyone loves to compete in is, PvP! For one thing, in ‘Fairy Tail’, they can declare war on other guilds if they wish, having too much conflict. There are also dark guilds who people might be interested in, becoming the eviler side, such as assassination, murdering, exploiting, black market, and such like that, if you desire to become the dark side of the game. What I would like to see is a lot of guild competitions during not through PvP, but PvE as well, from coordinating a group of friends to down an epic boss fight such as a legendary dark mage or an ancient chimera.

So, pretty much this is my decision, if ever get the chance, read ‘Fairy Tail’, it’s one of the funniest and coolest manga I ever read. I wish and hope they put this on air as an anime. It does resemble as ‘One Piece’ a lot but, don’t get me wrong, I love them both, even if they’re too alike, they still have a different plot and characters (personality wise, similar but style is different).
