For three days of the NYAF our Ningin crew met so many interesting people. It was great to meet you; the creative people that make a weekend like this a great experience. I wish all our Ningin members could have been there with us to see the these Animated characters come to life. It was truly unbelievable! Costume clad Anime fans came from all over the world to converge in New York. Anime has truly been a wonderful influence on us all. It is something that goes beyond languages and borders and brings us all together. Especially when you realize that you may have grown up with an Anime show that also played in Europe or Asia or Africa.

If you haven’t ever been to a convention or a gathering like this before with so many things to do and see and not enough of one person to go around it can be overwhelming. Screenings, panels, and performances go on all at once. Picking and choosing your favorites isn’t as easy as picking a Pokemon for battle. What is the fun is the fact is everyone is on equal ground. No one is trying to

People who you have never met are pulling you to dance through the aisles. In fact the droves of V (for Vendetta) masked people formed a makeshift dance parade. The one carrying the boom-box RICK ROLLED the Ningin booth and danced to Pokemon with our very own Mudkips! It was slightly unnerving to see how well V does the conga but I was very happy to witness his royal revenge himself shake his booty. However the most popular costumed characters that we saw were from Death Note, Vampire Knight and Code Geass.  Code Geass cosplayers were amazing from the people at Elves ate my Ramen there were tons of Suzaku’s, Zero’s, CeCe’s…even WCS2008team duo of Cosplay, Yui & Mino, cosplayed Code Geass and visited our booth to take some photos. I really cannot pick my all time favorites of the convention. From the Darker than Black group to the Sailor Scouts everything was just so imaginative.

I cannot wait for Ningin’s next convention. I hope to see you there!
