Oh, how us fans missed our darling Seoulman, who can make us squeal at the drop of a hat with his rhythmic gyrations. Since his choice to be apart of the American film industry took him away from his musical career it left us all his fans in limbo. At first we all sat and hoped for the best “do your best RAIN, Ajaja Pighting, Gambatte!”…..and after the Speedracer release we pondered “dear lord RAIN darling what were you thinking?”

Over the past two years Rain was dealt a very raw deck of cards. Bad luck just got a hold of Korean Cutie and did not want to let go (It is understandable many of us wouldnt let go either). Consider the first lawsuit. that was totally laughed out of court, brought against Rain and JYPE by those Las Vegas Beatle wannabe’s. That lawsuits timing pushed Rain off his tour schedule when the court would not postpone the hearing for his Hawaiian Concert. What about the issue with the LA concert and how that was cancelled? Now someone should have been looking out for electrical compatibility of LED screens months before hand! Can we say the people Rain hired to help him run and promote this particular tour did not do their job! Then from the cancelled concerts came more lawsuits. This also happened after him not resigning with JYPE so information on this tour that changed hands was never double checked.

As I write this I glance at my unused Rain Tickets and wonder ”Oh darling when will you come back to the states, to see your number one fan?” With his English/American debut on temporary hiatus it seems that there is no hope. To many Asian performers try to come here and fade before they get the chance. BUT WAIT… what is this? A glimmer of hope? A new Rain release in Korea? He is coming back to the stage? His 5th album release is almost here and under a new company J.Tune Entertainment. Will his comeback flop? Will the Korean market embrace their number one son once again? If that doesn’t happen Rain will truly be down the drain never to return.

THe teaser video for Rain’s song “Love Story” has just been released on the internet today. It stars Rain as himself and the infamous Ha Ji Won, they filmed this at Apgujeong’s Rodeo Drive in Kangnam. It is described as vicious story of the heart. Rain will go back to his first persona of Nappuen Namja but now an evolved form called ‘homme fetale,’.
