It’s almost Halloween! Even though I could probably still pass for a 12 year old, I’ve already stocked up on candy and made plans for the holiday. I’m looking forward to staying in and watching the Saw series even though I know I scare easily. However, I do foresee me chickening out last minute. Ha!

Also, again for the thousandth time, it’s Breast Cancer awareness so it’s not too late to get your pink on!

To the point, here’s your weekly roundup. I definitely need to find more Cpop/Mandopop music. Any suggestions?

Capsule - JUMPER

The music video reminds me of the PSP game flOw. There’s not much to the game other than that you float around as an odd shape eating other odd shapes. It’s quite boring after 5 minutes but JUMPER isn’t. It’s sounds like Perfume but with a more rocker beat. I definitely like it and their music video goes well with the song. However it is a bit too spastic for me.

AKFG – Fujisawa Loser

I know David reported on this already but they’re one of my favorites. Their new song is awesome as expected. I notice that a lot of their videos deal with a random guy living in Japan. In this particular one, two guys have to run a course on their profession. A bit weird but it is funny. Also the guys look so cute with their fake guitars.

Boa – Eat You Up (American)

I don’t really think she hates America but whoever gave the okay on this video needs to be fired. It’s not even mediocre and that’s including the dancing. The video is low quality and her background dancers look like they’ve been drinking. It’s really unfortunate because I had such high hopes for her.

Rie Fu - Romantic

I discovered Rie Fu through Bleach and was really impressed with her singing skills. She can sing in both English and Japanese perfectly. I’ve only heard her sing “Life is a Boat” but now I’m convinced she’s NOT a one hit wonder after listening to her latest single.

Mika Nakashima - ORION

While I love Mika, this song is just bad. She can sing but I’ve heard her do better. The video is also boring and reminds me of “The Ring”. Definitely a disappointment.
