In 2000, shortly after BoA’s debut she was winning just about every “Rookie of the Year” award there was in Korea. Fast forward to 2004, just four short years after debut and she’s winning the award for “Most Influential Artist in all of Asia.” How did she win that award? It’s simple, she released seven full studio albums in both Korea and Japan, three mini-albums in Korea, two remix albums and about fifteen hit singles in Japan. Even since then, she’s won countless awards in both Korea, Japan, and the rest of Asia, too many to list.
The year of her debut is when she first began winning awards, but mostly just “Rookie of the Year.” The next year she began winning awards for “Best New Artist”, like at MTV Taiwan’s music awards ceremony. The year 2002 is when everything really began to pick up. She wins both the “Album of the Year” award and the grand prize at the 44th Annual Japan Record Awards, Best Choreography award for her music video’s at Mnet’s MKMF award, Golden Artist at Best Hits Song Festival, and various other awards for her high record sales and popularity.
In 2003, she won just as much. Starting with “Artist of the Year” at KMTV’s Music Awards, “Album of the Year” at Japan’s Golden Disk Awards, “Best Music Video” at KBS Music Awards, and Golden Artist at Best Hits Song Festival. 2004 was probably BoA’s biggest year in terms of popularity and number of awards won all over Asia. She picks up the “Favorite Korean Artist” award at the MTV Asia awards, along with the award for the most influential artist in Asia. With MTV Japan’s Video Music Awards, she went home with “Best Dance Video.” She also wins the Golden artist at Best Hits Song Festival in Japan yet again. She also won countless awards in both Taiwan and China that year.
In the next year, 2005, we saw just as much. She participates in Japan’s Kouhaku contest in Japan and breaks the record as the only non-Japanese artist to attend four years in a row. Once again she wins the Golden Artist at Best Hits Song Festival, and the “Best Korean Artist” at the World Music Awards. In 2006 and 2007 she does just as much, she participates in NHK Best Singers contest in Japan both years, breaking the record again as the only non-Japanese artist to attend six years in a row. She also wins Golden Artist at Best Hits Song Festival both years, making it her sixth time winning. In the year 2008 she didn’t win as much, simply because she wasn’t as active. She was preparing for her U.S. debut, and hopefully the list of major awards will grow in the future with awards from the U.S.!

Congratulations to all the lucky winners! I’m putting my poster in a safe place!
Her biggest feat is conquering English imo. And so far she’s almost there.
^^not this year! She has been inactive in Korea for almost 4 years and actively promoting herself in the US at the moment so she will be at neither any Korean end-of-year award shows nor Kouhaku show.
BoA sure has a full room of trophies
Is she still going to participate in Korea and Japan awards?
Shes has so many but shes deserved each one
That would be awesome if she was on Dancing with the Stars!

This will be a hard one, but she can do it. She’s got everything to be the best.

she puts my gold award (only award...EVER) for ballroom dancing to shame… T_T
but that’s exactly how much she rocks.
But it would be better if she won. haha

I think that even being nominated would be a big deal.
Whatever as long as its a Grammy who cares.
Maybe another Rookie of the Year.
