Hulu is bringing Japanese TV goodness to the US by partnering with NTV (Nippon TV).

Hulu will be streaming the Japanese game show, Gaki. Gaki is popular for is comedy team Downtown who do various stunts like Golf Club Assault Battle and Chili Bean Paste Smearing Battle. You can watch various Gaki episodes here.

In addition, you can watch the entire Nasubi series from Denpa Shonen, another show filled with Japanese humor.

Well, I’m really happy to see that NTV is willing to share their wealth with the US. I would love to see some dramas and other shows shared here! We can dream right?

The shows are actually completed subtitles!  You just have to click the “CC” button on the lower right hand corner of the video player and select “English” =-D.  Win freakin’ win!


You can’t always get what you want. lol It’s still cool though that they have it up. No more Youtube.


I rather they translate the whole show.


I hope they add more shows. In want to see Utaban and HeyHeyHey and MusicStation and all the Arashi shows and other johnny jimusho hour shows.. Like SMAPxSMAP!


They sort of do. They give the instructions in English and from that you can pretty much understand what’s going on.


heh, dramafever might have something to say about this… at any rate, i don’t think hulu’s streams will have subtitles?
