Gyakuten Kenji, also known as Perfect Prosecutor, will be a spin-off from Capcom’s popular Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney) series. As a fan of the series, when I heard that the new spin-off game for the DS was going to be featuring Mitsurugi Reiji (Miles Edgeworth), I nearly cracked my skull at the news. Obviously, I’m a fan of his.

Well, according to this site, there’s a release date, and it’s for May 28, 2009. WHAAAAT. That is a long way off, and with that being the Japanese release date . . . if Capcom USA ever localizes this, it will be a long time before we English gamers see this. Unless the Japanese one comes with an English option like the couple of the GS games had. Then I’d gladly import the game!

. . . But seriously, May 28?! Aigoos. Oh well. At least we have a release date now.

@Sakura—Japanese is so difficult, though!  I mean, seriously, three writing systems?!  One’s bad enough, but three? XD I mean, knowing Korean really helps since the structure is similar, but the characters are not the same.  Blarggh.

@Japangirl—Yeah, I’m glad they made a spin off.  I’m glad they chose Miles!

@snowdropz—You mean their Japanese name?  Yeah, same here.  I wish when things were localised, they don’t Anglicize the games!  Like the English dub overs?  I’d rather they keep the Japanese voices as an option!

@tokawaii—Uhhh I think von Karma sort of holds that “perfect prosecutor” award.  Keywords: sort of.

@Lara—Dude, when the game come out in English, we should be write up a fangirl article about this game. XD

How long did it take for them to import the other games?


I wish they kept the original names.

Miles was the coolest character anyways.


I think the resolution is to learn Japanese. haha
