It’s almost time for the most romantic time of the year: Valentine’s Day. Some of us will either treat or be treated to a most relaxing and pleasurable day. And some of us will spend it alone—wondering what in the heck happened to that arrow that cupid was supposed to hit us with?! During this special time of the year, there are many famous people who also celebrate it, and it makes me wonder what it would be like to spend Valentine’s Day with one of my favorite Asian stars… According to media experts (and myself, too!), here are some of the top ideal Valentine’s Day lovers.

TAKESHI KANESHIRO

The Taiwanese-Japanese actor was voted in Taiwanese media as the top ideal male lover to spend Valentine’s Day with, which comes as no surprise: he’s pretty much held every hottie title since he debuted in the early 90’s. He possesses dashing, regal features, and you bet he can melt the coldest heart with his bright, genuine smile. A man with a smile like that is very attractive and makes a really good first impression on me.

Whenever I saw him on various entertainment shows speaking about his career and life, he always had this twinkle in his eye. He seemed to be very engaged with whomever he was talking to, and that reflected the sincerity that I thrive for in a partner. Takeshi always looks well-groomed whenever he makes an appearance, which I believe is a must have with a lover.

TONY LEUNG

This HK star was also voted in Taiwanese media as an ideal male lover to spend Valentine’s Day with. I have always enjoyed Tony’s movies, my favorite being Infernal Affairs. Tony has the innate ability to take charge whenever he appears on screen, which can mean—relationship-wise—he is very confident, has his head on straight and knows where he is going in life. I love it when a man knows what he wants to do in life, does it well and can take care of me too, even though I can take care of myself. Tony is known for his sex appeal both on and off the screen, which is absolutely intoxicating. He just knows how to top it off with his suaveness , even without ever having to say a word.

LIN CHILING

According to Taiwanese media again, she was voted as the top ideal female lover to spend Valentine’s Day with. She is Taiwan’s top supermodel and is known for her famously long and sexy legs. She also had a role in John Woo’s movie, Red Cliff as “Xiao Qiao.” Lin has flawless, silky skin and glides with grace wherever she goes. Her innocent, angelic face and her killer body are beyond comparison. She would make the perfect Valentine for any lucky person.

JASON KYSON LEE

He is one of my choices because of his crisp looks and his satiny voice. Jason is the guy next door who—within one day of watching him and meeting him—you discover has the charm of a prince. He’s my favorite in the TV series Heroes, and he always grabs my attention on the screen. I loved him for playing such a compassionate character in Akira’s Hip Hop Shop and for standing up against all odds in the name of love. I am a lady who appreciates that kind of love greatly: when your man sticks up for you through thick and thin. Jason can be my knight in shining armor coming to my rescue on Valentine’s Day.

KIMURA TAKUYA

Kimura is also one of my choices because of the soulful passion that he exudes. He has chiseled, handsome features and piercing eyes. I first saw him in the Japanese drama series Karei Naru Ichizoku and I fell in love right then and there. Kimura is a pop singer with a wonderful voice, one that can serenade me morning, noon and night. Being passionate in life is an important quality that my man must possess. It shows me that he cares about himself, about me and about life in general because he is living his life, not just existing in his life alone. Kimura, can you be my Valentine?

Ok guys, which Asian celebrity would you choose as your ideal lover on Valentine’s Day?
