In case you aren’t paying attention to Miss BoA Kwon’s activities back in Asia (and why wouldn’t you be?!), she released her 27th Japanese single this week - “永遠 (Eien).” The title track is a nice, slow groover with BoA showing off her vocal skills more than we’ve heard recently in her two American singles. As BoA herself said, “Eat You Up” is largely singing one note staccato, and “I Did It For Love” features her voice unnecessarily processed through the pop-music-computer auto-tune treatment. While both American singles are definitely catchy, let’s hope her American album shows off her vocal talent like this Japanese single. We’ll find out in less than a month when The First hits America!

A nice little gem on the new Japanese single is the BoA “Best Hit Mega Blend” - a five-minute dj mash-up of seven BoA hits, including “永遠 (Eien).” It’s interesting for old BoA fans, but definitely a must listen for new BoA fans! (Attention BoA collectors! Apparently, the “Best Hit Mega Blend” song and video will only be on the first pressing of the CD and DVD.)

BoA reunites m-flo style with Crystal Kay and VERBAL for the other new track “Universe.” There’s also an acoustic version of “Believe In Love” which, personally… ee, chotto…

Here’s the tracklist for “永遠 (Eien)”:
1. 永遠 (Eien)
2. UNIVERSE feat.Crystal Kay & VERBAL (m-flo!!!)
3. Believe In Love feat. BoA(Acoustic crappy Version)
4. BEST HIT MEGA BLEND (First pressing only!)
5. 永遠(Instrumental)
6. UNIVERSE feat.Crystal Kay & VERBAL (m-flo!!!!!)(Instrumental)

As is usual for Japanese CD singles, there’s also a CD+DVD release! Here’s the DVD tracklisting:
1. 永遠(Eien)
2. Introduction of “BEST & USA”
3. BEST HIT MEGA BLEND ~VISUAL REMIX~ (First pressing only!)
Don’t get excited about #2 Introduction of “BEST & USA”. I’ve watched it. The only sneak peek for the USA album is a clip of the “Eat You Up” video. >_<

Oh, and btw, here’s the “Best Hit Mega Blend”! ^_^

Mp3 player is suppose to be here. Try upgrading to the latest version of flash if you do not see it.
