Surprising Advertisement: Boys Over Flowers in My Cellphone Bill

It’s that time of the month where I’m expecting my cellphone bill to come and haunt me to deduct money from my bank account. Upon retrieving it from my mailbox, I found it strange that it was in an envelope since in the last six months or so, it wasn’t in one — meaning it was folded and taped up into a single document kind of thing. Warily, I opened it up, expecting stupid advertisements. Along with my phone bills in Korean and in English (the latter must be a new feature), I saw the Boys Over Flowers advertisement brochure you see to your left.

After I shuddered from my hatred of pink, I opened up the brochure to see what was in there. See, I know of the show because of my association with Ningin. I know it’s slowly gaining popularity. But to see a bloody advertisement about some BOF cellphones along with something about Kim Tae Hee and Big Bang new cellphone mumbo jumbo wasn’t exactly what I wanted to see nor cared to see. Too bad I’m not a fan. Otherwise, I’d keep that brochure as a mini poster. Instead, after taking pictures of it, I threw it in my rubbish bin. So it goes!

Wow I didn’t realize you hated pink so much. Is it really that bad? I mean it is just a color…

Well, this time I was just exaggerating a big, but yes I do dislike that colour quite vehemently.

How much do you pay for your cellphone? lol Random question.

My cellphone bill is average about . . . $25 to $35 dollars a month—depending on how much I use it.

Better than being texted about it and then having to pay for that text.

This confused me at first until I remembered that you guys in the states get charged for all incoming and outgoing messages and calls. Korean phone companies don’t do that. They only charge all messages and calls that are outgoings. Meaning I will get charge for a call/message that I send but I don’t get charged for what I receive. :DD
