Had a chance to talk to JYP today. He’s also seen a lot of the entries and it made him really happy that so many people have entered. Since you guys put him a good mood, he’s upping the prizes. The Grand Prize winners, you won’t just be meeting with the Wonder Girls but you’ll also be meeting with JYP and 2PM.

JYP offered other stuff for the winners as well which I’ll announce tomorrow. I need to double check something first.

dang, if only i could dance. then i would have entered the contest.


Um everyone doesn’t get to be a winner but even then a lot of the people that did win, didn’t get to meet them due to confusion.

Hi guys. You might remember me from my video. I was in the top ten and I made up my own dance. I didn’t say anything before this since it seemed like there was no point. I thought it made perfect sense I didn’t place since I didn’t actually dance the dance they made but from reading what happened to you guys, it sounds to me like this was a case of miscommunication, poor planning, and a major corporation looking down on a simple contest. And yes I think jype just was overwhelmed with entries and planning that many concerts in such a short time. Ive been to most of the JYPE planned concerts and well...they are usually tight from the business end to the performing end.

It definitely wasn’t Ningin’s fault though, I met some of the people from Ningin at the concert, and even they were having some issues with their backstage/press passes.

Thank you. Ningin unfortunately did not have control. PLease keep supporting us. By you supporting us we can bring more oppertunities for Asian music to be accepted into the main stream.

And you may think it is unfair that companies like JYPE and JTUNE and YG are pushing nonasian relations for PR purposes but that will only help everyone in the long run.

FOR far to long asian musicians are being kept outside the walls in the US music industry and although as asian fans you may be hurt you are doing the greater good by standing aside for a moment.

BElieve me the more opportunities we have the more we will give to everyone regardless of ethnicity.

I think what happened was JYPE had too many concerts in a short period of time. It was too much for them to organize with them going to two opposite shores and setting up concerts on different size venues. Seriously the concert although entertaining was not JYPES best at all. It was plagued with so many mistakes and technical difficulties.

And im sorry you saw that stuff penguin but yes...There was some issues press access for us. it was just the level of access.. A handful of us were mistakenly given something for our video crew and management then they took it back.

However the interview schedule changed and everyone had a demotion in their level of press pass even our video staff and the other passes that the JYPE staff should have been still offered to the original four didnt. IM not complaining though.. its just unforseen issues that are beyond our control.

We just wanted everything remedied before hand im pretty scary organized at weird times… It would have been a easier flow to had the other passes for the concert and the afterparty. So that was a disappointment but these things happen.

next time I know to bring a camera and be one of our photographers to record the event.

but all in all.. i melted when jYP was on stage and i saw the rehersal.

SIGH!


If I was Ningin, I wouldn’t do it again. Seems like too much trouble to manage.

Honestly, I knew from the beginning that the JYP entertainment would gear towards to picking non-asians to promote Wonder Girls even more. & As a wonderful, I’d be happy with anything that would promote Wonder Girls, but iono…
I’m willing to try harder if theres a contest like this for the next year’s JYP tour, but I do really hope that everything will be better. Especially the communication between Ningin & JYP. Can’t really blame ningin though, because everything was up to JYP… ):

Face it guys, even though this website speaks of how much influence they have, when it comes down to it, it’s next to nothing compared to a powerful company such as jyp. I mean it’s just an internet contest, they wouldn’t take it seriously. It also sounds obvious that the Wonder Girls never even saw the movies, just a bunch of bs from the website and jyp. JYP reacted exactly how korean music companies have been acting recently. they are eagerly trying to break into a music market that in my opinion, quite frankly has no room for k-pop and they are going about it in the worst fashion. So don’t feel too disappointed everyone, at least you know the actual wonder girls had no hand in this. And on a sidenote, tdfrank, you really need to chill dude. before this, all u did was spout on about how u wanted to join jyp. Instead of daydreaming on this website, why don’t you train or something. I was asked before if I wanted to try out when I met a casting person from jyp since I dance but I turned it down cause of my studies. They have auditions like all the time. go do that. no offense, if u take it harshly but just chill with the comments. This’ll probably also be the first and last time I write on this website.
