The Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) is a maximum security prsion in Cebu, Philliphines, so who would have known they would turn out to be wonderfuls?

Famous for their Michael Jackson – Thriller dance video, these inmates are back at it again with Wonder Girls – Nobody. These inmates began their dancing after the security advisor, Byron Garcia, started a choreographed exercise program for the inmates. OK ok ok, so maybe I’m not supposed to say this but… Wonder Girls are coming back tomorrow! They’re on the plane right now! I was soooooo tempted to say it at the end of the Wonder Girls Top 10 Reader Questions. I had some self control then… but I can’t keep it a secret any more!

I’m going to try to make it out to JFK Airport tomorrow around 8pm with a nice big “Welcome Back, Wonder Girls” sign. Anyone else going?

Hey everyone! We have an older FAM video here for your enjoyment. I lost the flash drive with some of the video on it and just recently finished editing it up for you guys. An older woman in Japan has been living in a house full (and I mean full) of garbage. So comedian Kojima decides to help her out.

While filming, we discover that she’s been living in this literal dump for awhile. Due to the death of her rich husband at the age of 31, she was unable to pay her maid leading to her current living conditions. More surprisingly, she actually wants to keep some of the trash and remembers where all of it is. However they convince her to clean it all up after she says she was yakiniku (aka bbq). So Kojima sucked some newb comedians to help out and they eventually clean it up after 5 hours and 3 two-tun trucks. More »

Wow, what a weekend in New York City! The cosplayers, the anime fans, the manga maniacs and the Jpop listeners showed up in full force for the KRAZY! Cosplay Contest & Party! It was completely and absolutely sold out with another 100 people waiting outside just hoping to get in. Special guests include Akihabara singer Reni, World Cosplay Summit 2009: Team USA (& 2008!), head of New York Anime Festival Peter Tartara, and Ningin! The winning cosplayers were phenomenal. And no I don’t mean on the streets. Well maybe I do. TVXQ has been setting records all over from the Guiness Book of World Records to Avex’s websites. It was recently announced that TVXQ is Avex’s most viewed artist website out of all the other artists including EXHILE, Ayumi Hamasaki and BoA.

Not surprising to be honest. TVXQ is the most popular boy band out of Asia so did we really see this not coming?

You wanted free music. You wanted it now. You wouldn’t even mind it being legal too. Well, now you can at Top100.cn! The site claims to offer more than 1 million songs available as free downloads of Cpop, Jpop, Kpop and Western Pop. All this music is offered legally through advertising revenue arrangements with record labels and (surprise!) Google. Every time you click a download icon, a new window opens with some Google Adwords and a direct download link. Doesn’t bother me! I’m downloading away! More »

The teaser trailer for Finale, starring Korea’s “Bokgo Princess” Bae Seul Ki in her acting debut, was just recently released online has now become a hot topic of netizens.

The independent film directed by Rouchdi Guedria, the amazing action director Jung Doo Hong (who was also the action director for the Korean film The Good, the Bad, and the Weird) and starring actors from both Korea and Europe focuses on a battle between the Italian mafia and the Korean mafia during the Korea VS Italy soccer game during the 2002 World Cup. In the movie, Seul Ki plays the character of a “cold blooded killer” and the daughter of a mob boss, Si Yeon. More »

Like Marty McFly in Back to the Future, I jumped back into what seemed like 1955 the second I moved to the back of a little well known tikki bar in downtown NYC called Otto’s Shrunken Head. Located on 14th St and in Alphabet City between Aves A & B, Otto’s Shruken Head is one of the few Tiki bars in the city and serves not only exotic drinks but even exotic acts, and how more exotic can you get than with some time travel. The Japan Society really has outdone themselves with their latest exhibit “KRAZY!”. At first I was sure this was just going to be a one room gallery of animation cells, but “KRAZY!” is so much more.

They have several rooms dedicated to different facets of exported Japanese media such as manga, anime, and video games. One cool aspect of the exhibit is that it’s interactive and rooms are set up to influence the senses. More »

This weekend I had the chance to check out Dragonball Z Evolution and I wasn’t too enthralled to watch. There is just something about watching characters we love being warped into something new. My weekend started early when I got to chat with Anime Matsuri’s security director, Elias Romero. He had some really interesting things to say about the on going updates at this year’s convention. This premiere anime event will take place April 10th-12th in Woodlands, Texas and is one of the largest conventions in southern part of the US. More »

Allow me to introduce you all to Patrick Chan, Canada’s figure skating prodigy and Silver medalist at yesterday’s World Figure Skating Championships (WFC) event in Los Angeles. Hailing from Toronto, high school student Patrick is pure style on ice.

With a motto like “Attack from beginning to end” Patrick Chan really doesn’t hold back and has shown talent and skill nothing short of sublime on his way to the World Figure Skating Championships yesterday night, where he gave an amazing show despite his 2nd place finish. More »

Gosh, these gay celebs can never make up their minds. Just marry that beard and get it over already! Last week, there were reports that Hong Kong king of pop, Andy Lau was going to marry his longtime girlfriend, former Malaysian beauty queen, Carol Chu in April. These two started dating over twenty years ago (yes, even before some of you bitches were born). This week, a Malaysian newspaper reported that the wedding has been called off.
