Allow me to introduce you all to Patrick Chan, Canada’s figure skating prodigy and Silver medalist at yesterday’s World Figure Skating Championships (WFC) event in Los Angeles. Hailing from Toronto, high school student Patrick is pure style on ice.

With a motto like “Attack from beginning to end” Patrick Chan really doesn’t hold back and has shown talent and skill nothing short of sublime on his way to the World Figure Skating Championships yesterday night, where he gave an amazing show despite his 2nd place finish.

An all but confirmed Olympic candidate for Canada 18-year-old Chan is second youngest ever winner of a medal at the WFC and has seen a significant improvement over his 9th place finish at the WFC last year. Chan, also the previous gold medal winner of the 2009 Four Continents Championships figure skating event earlier this year has had an absolutely amazing career winning the 2008 Canadian Figure Skating Championships last year at the age of only 17 and becoming the youngest ever winner of that event to date. He is currently ranked 13th in the world figure skating arena.

How did Chan get a lower technical score than Brian Joubert (yesterday’s bronze medalist) at the WFC even after Joubert messed up his double-toe combo (don’t ask me how I know this)? Your guess is as good as mine. But enough talk, see his performance for yourself:
