You wanted free music. You wanted it now. You wouldn’t even mind it being legal too. Well, now you can at Top100.cn! The site claims to offer more than 1 million songs available as free downloads of Cpop, Jpop, Kpop and Western Pop. All this music is offered legally through advertising revenue arrangements with record labels and (surprise!) Google. Every time you click a download icon, a new window opens with some Google Adwords and a direct download link. Doesn’t bother me! I’m downloading away!

Sony, Universal Music Group, EMI and Warner are all onboard at Top100.cn. It’s about time the record labels woke up and smelled the file-sharing coffee.

Top100.cn is available only in Chinese characters. But don’t be scared! Play and Download icons are understandable in any language. (^>^)

too bad the site doesnt work now, i was hoping to get some music out of it


i still dont think i would try this...i just think deep down it’s not legit.

I think you’re right too, because now when I try to download it says
“你所在的国家地区不能下载”
Which means, “The country you are in can not download this”.  So I guess only people from China can now xD?


lol! I’m worried about viruses. :X

It keeps getting me to the page can’t load screen xD
I registered too o_O

I tried the site tonight, and I got problems too. Two days ago when I clicked download button, there would be popup with the google ad and the direct download link (per each song). I’m wondering if they got slammed with non-Mainland users and are now “geo-blocking” non-Mainland IP addresses. I’ll look into this and let you know what I learn.


Who cares. Free music is free music…


Why’s it called Top100 if there’s more songs than that?


Isn’t there another music site that gives out free music? Or am I thinking wrong? ><
