Ningin is very proud to have hosted this contest and to provide this two-way bridge between mega pops, the Wonder Girls, and their Wonderful fans. It’s something that I hope to be the first of many such bridges. So long as Asian pop stars continue to be supported by their fans, Ningin will be sure to make more magical things happen! More »

Apparently, some turds are hard to get rid of, like those that you can’t flush away (even after the fifth try), and you stand there all embarrassed, stressing over what to do. This was the case with the king of nude photo scandals Edison Chen, who testified in a Canadian court this week about the photo scandal. I thought we would never see this turd in the news ever again when he left Hong Kong hurriedly after the scandal broke (dude has been hiding in San Francisco all this time). But just when I was about to erase him from my not-so-pleasant memories (save the image of his impressive peen, which did us Asian men rather proud, I have to admit), he was on the news again. Apparently this turd here was too afraid to fly back to Hong Kong to testify in the photo scandal case, so he requested for the hearing to be conducted in Vancouver, where he was born. More »

I. Am. In. Love. *swoons* I never thought I’d actually fall in love with an athlete, but I have! I was at work, watching a rerun of the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (4CC) on a Korean channel. Luckily for me, it was the men’s single competition! I decided to get cosy as I drooled at guys’ hot bods, listened to the awesome selection of music, and watched the wonderful choreography for about a good hour. More »

Ok Northeastern BoA fans, Ningin went to great lengths to put together an album pre-release party for you and to help BoA promote her album. Why should West Coast BoA fans have all the fun? More »

Korean Title: 오이시맨 (Oishii Man)
The Blatherings: “Oishii” means “delicious” in Japanese. This new film is currently in theatres. It looks like a typical romantic comedy. We have a man named Hyeon Seok (played by Lee Min Ki), who used to be a famous singer, but he suffers from an ear condition, so he has to abandon his dream. Consumed by his inner struggles, he decides to escape Seoul without his pseudo-girlfriend Jae Yeong (Jung Yoo Mi) to Hokkaido. More »

Although I can’t speak on behalf of everyone, it seems that most people are fairly divided when it comes to Quest Crew and Beat Freaks. Actually, perhaps “divided” is not the most appropriate word as rather than really favoring one over the other, a lot of people love both crews. And why not? There are a myriad of reasons to love either crew, and here are just a few reasons why your vote should go to Quest Crew: More »

I’ve stopped counting how many times Mario Lopez has said, “Whoa-ho, Quest Crew… is on a quest!” Dimple’s overdone pun may be annoying, but it’s true. Although Quest Crew has comedy and good times down pat—just try to interview these guys without getting sucked into random and silly tangents, specifically by Dom—this is no careless road trip. These boys are on a mission. More »

The Gamblerz are starring in the Paramount Pictures release Hype Nation, slated for release in Fall 2009. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can catch them in “Planet B-Boy” (pictured), now on DVD!
Korean B-Boy super crew The Gamblerz are performing two shows in the DC area on March 6 & 7 - and we have a winner for a pair of tickets… More »

Happy March, everyone! Now that it’s March, that only means one thing (well, for me at least): JYP Tour 2009! I know everyone is psyched to see the Wonder Girls in addition to the entire JYPE family on stage. It’s not too late to order your tickets!
Anyways, there’s a lot going on at Ningin, so in cased you missed any of it, here’s this week’s wrap up! More »

With all the various contests and stuff happening on Ningin, we really haven’t had a lot of time to talk about BoA and help her crossover successfully. We’re going to fix that by starting with some free BoA give-aways! More »

As if the title “Rainism” wasn’t bad enough. Rain is re-releasing his album “Rainism” with a new title - Rainism Recollection. What is so different you ask? Simple, it’s just a bunch of different versions of the original songs already on the album. We’ve got “Love Story” in Japanese, Mandarin, and English, the acoustic versions of “12th September” and “My Woman,” and an urban mix of “Fresh Woman.” There’s also a DVD which comes with the 35-minute movie of “Love Story.” 35 minutes? I don’t think I can really sit through that. The music video was hilarious as it was already. I didn’t understand the plot much at all except the fact that Rain played a freeloader in some poor girl’s apartment. How that’s going to stretch into 35 minutes… Well, we’ll just have to see. Foolish was I to underestimate BoA and her power to lure the masses to a typically sub-par LA club last night! BoA’s official record listening party, held at LA’s Ritual club, was packed wall to wall with both fans and non-fans alike. On any other given night, this is hardly the case for this particular club. I’ve watched a lot of things lately that I seriously regret watching. After Infinity Challenge’s coma inducing “EnerGee,” I thought nothing could top my disgust. Then came along Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Having seen the terror Streetfighter movies have unleashed in the past, I braced myself for a beating on opening night. But this time, the only thing Streetfighter hurt was my feelings. More »
