In the umpteenth edition of, “Really, (Insert Asian Country Here.)? Really?” I present to you a glimpse at 2NE1’s Sandara Park posing scantily clad for the July/August 2006 issue of Uno. Think Maxim, but for the Philippines. The Uno pictures of the former Philippine celebrity are causing quite the stir among Korea’s netizens. Upon looking at not-nude Sandara in the editorial, I’ve evoked the following emotion:

“Really, Korea? Really?“

Followed by a yawn. She’s sexy, yes. Looking lewd or naked, no. I don’t understand the fuss. Come on Korea, remember in 2007 when you welcomed Paris Hilton with open arms? At any given moment on the Internet, you can watch her have sex. But you let her wear a hanbok. Sandara just snapped a few shots with lingerie and a shiny bikini. That’s all, really. Also, what about Jennifer Lee, Korea? The Half Korean half Filipino girl group starlet poses in magazines like Uno all the time. She claims to do it in hopes of catching the attention of her dead beat father who ran off to Korea before she was born. Why not make a fuss about her?

Regardless, Sandara, you can always come back to the Philippines where no one gives a shit and people will still love you.
