Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival seeking films »

If you’ve studied an Asian language in the US, there’s a good chance you know about educational publishers Cheng & Tsui. Based in Boston, their motto is “Bringing Asia to the World”™ with a wide range of language-learning materials, translated literature, dictionaries, reference books, films, and software. Cheng & Tsui’s catalog encompasses Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian languages. This year marks their 30th Anniversary! To celebrate, Cheng & Tsui are holding a 30th Anniversary Contest: “How Learning an Asian Language Affected My Life”. Submitting your story with a video or essay by June 1st.

Cheng & Tsui want to know how learning an Asian language has affected your life. Winners will be announced June 12 and receive a $100 Visa gift card or Cheng & Tsui gift certificate. Runner-ups will receive a $25 Cheng & Tsui gift certificate.

i want to learn to speak korean too! i kinda know some
but i’m learning Japanese at school

i wanna learn Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and italian before i die. sadly, my high school doesnt offer any of those languages. so in college, i am gonna take Japanese and chinese. i <3 Asia!

I speak Viet but not fluently.


Was Kumon even around while you were a kid?


I wish I learned Chinese when I was a kid.


I went to Kumon. haha


lol! I guess. Only they teach you just Asian languages.
