Such a beautiful weekend so far. I was tempted to stay outside all day but couldn’t ditch my obligation to find the best articles for my dear Ningin readers. Today’s news somewhat makes up for my sacrifice with lots of scandalous news. First we have finger pointing with money involved. Seems that certain SeeYa members are unhappy about their paychecks.

These people got caught smuggling drugs. I guess that’s big for Korea even though the drugs are ecstasy and ketamine. Somehow I think the Korea club scene will survive.

Not so much scandalous as stupid; record execs afraid of building up too much for their artists. Though I’m a bit incredulous of the story since no sources or quotes were cited.

1. Money. All these groups either break up because of money or they don’t want to tough it out. I hope SeeYa gets themselves back together.

2. If you are famous, why in the heck would you do this??? What’s the benefits to this? I know both Korea and Japan have a strict policy but these people already had a career working for them. *sigh* People are just never satisfied.

3. As unoriginal as the concept 2ne1 is debuting and sticking with, they better catch my attention because Big Bang doesn’t.

4. Wow! So someone made money off of someone else’s crime. This is what capitalism is all about. LOL

Also, I can sympathize with See Ya. If I was a kpop star and I knew that everyone else around the world was making way much more money than me for the same shit...I’d be mad. But then again...in this economic climate, it’s not the best idea to be asking for more.

It’s still sad to hear artists getting screwed over tho

I bet those contracts that artists get are crap. I guess that’s why a lot of artist make their own labels or work with smaller ones.

I read an article two years ago saying that American sitcom actors get paid more than...basically any entertainer in Korea. Sitcom actors, if you’re on a big network show...you make at least 6 figures.
