New actress Woo SeungYeon has ended her life at the age of 24. On the morning of April 27th, she was found dead after hanging herself in her closet. It has been reported that she had been suffering from severe depression.

Family members say that SeungYeon had been receiving treatment for her depression, but it was ultimately too much for her to handle and she made this decision.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Woo SeungYeon, she originally started out as an internet ulzzang, before moving on to acting in movies and sitcoms like Herb and Yap. Most recently she was in the film Private Eye which was released on the 2nd of this month.

i usually associate celeb deaths with drug overdosing (like crack or heroine)...and usually on accident.

overstress is probably the common reason.

that is extremely sad to hear. she was very beautiful and im sure a very good actress. too bad no one could have anything.

Didn’t she take depression meds? Or too much like Heath Ledger?

a kid at my school took anti-depressants. but the psychiatrist kinda mis-prescribed her and she ended up becoming more depressed. and then had to go to the hospital for acting mental/crazy/suicidal. i guess im trying to say that meds don’t always solve the problem…

but still, it so sad the lady killed herself. she was so young.
