On Cyworld; which is basically the equivalent to the US Myspace or Facebook, newcomers After School locked in the Rookie of the Month title. After School, if you are unfamiliar with them, are a pop dance group produced by Pledis Entertainment, best known for Son Dam Bi. They’re led by one of BoA’s sr. dancers named Park Ji Young (Stagename: Park Kahi). The rest of the lineup includes 5 other girls, Kim Jung Ha, Beka, Lee Joo Yeon, Yoo So Yeong, and Uee. They debuted on 12.29.2008 at SBS InkiGayo.

It is a weird name but i guess new bands can’t think of really good names. Like the new band 2NE1. Like what does that represent.

Nah, two are 24, one’s like 14 and the other’s like 17 or something.

2NE1 means something stupid like NEW EVOLUTION OF THE 21ST CENTURY or whatever

It was originally supposed to be “To Anyone” (like it’s pronounced) but that’s changed. The “NE” stands for “New Evolution” and the 21 for the 21st century. The New Evolution of the 21st century. It was also explained early on by YG that in blackjack, 21 never loses. Additionally, I think 21 is the median age of all the girls.

There’s not enough to compare AS to PCD. But Nicole in PCD is half Asian.
