Happy Children’s Day, everyone! Or at least in Japan and South Korea. Every year, Korea and Japan celebrate this as a national holiday. Families go out together and enjoy some quality time with each other. Whether it’s at a picnic, a trip to an amusement part, or perusing through a museum, this is a holiday all for the little (and big) ones out in these two countries. This also the day where children will receive present and monies from their parents and other relatives.

As for me, even though I live in South Korea, it was never a real major holiday for me. Since I went to the schools on the military bases, we didn’t observe this Korean holiday. However, I do have good memories of this day. Sort of. See, for me, it was just another day to get presents and monies! Muhahaha! Alas, that is not the case any more, though! Not since I turned 18.

Also, I’ve learned something about this day. Children’s Day is one day Seoul people know better than to go to amusement parks and other places in the cities where families would be rampant! I know I’d really hate to go to Everland, Caribbean Bay, Seoul Land, or Lotte World. I’d be afraid of sceaming children stampeding over me! Hence why I’d just stay home or go to work to avoid those places.

Happy Childresn’s DAY!!

I think we have Kids’ day in Australia but it’s not a national holiday or anything >.< - people still go to work and kids still go to school

Aish - it’s time like these I wish I was living in S.Korea or Japan.

.. well, probably not since I think I’ve passed the cut off age for what constitutes a kid LOL ... *le sigh*

Lol I doubt we get anything in America...well if we do, it’s not an “official” holiday xD

Looks like there’s a lot of holidays that Asians don’t share with Americans.
