Ningin has a lot of visitors on a daily basis, most of them are lurkers. By lurkers, I mean people who visit regularly but never register and never interact with other users. While we don’t require you to register to read or access the news and media on our site (nor do we ever plan on changing that), it would be nice if you lurkers stepped out of the proverbial internet shadows and register.

It’ll be nice because Ningin has a full time staff and blogger that are paid for their contributions. It would help us a lot if lurkers became users so that we can show stronger numbers to our advertisers. The money we get would then be reinvested in more bloggers, more features, more special coverages, and more and better prizes to give out. It’s a win-win for everyone.

After registering, consider making a comment or even better, an introduction of yourself. You’ll start earning points and reputation within the Ningin community. Think of points as frequent flyer miles. The more you have, the more we can reward you.

To hopefully encourage you a little more, we’re giving out the “two cents” pin to all users that make at least one comment. Those of you who already have comments, the “two cents” pin has already been added to your EXP profile.

This is a good excuse for me to stop lurking!


For a lot of websites, you don’t really need to join because they allow anonymous comments. But you get a lot of stupid comments on those sites.


I don’t know how people can read a forum as fun as this one and NOT want to comment or join in! I couldn’t wait to jump in as soon as I got here. The lurkers must have incredible self-restraint wink

p.s. I love the accompanying picture!
