Da Mouth (dà zui ba / 大嘴巴) is officially a Taiwanese Mando-pop group, but it may just be THE United Nations music group of East Asian. It’s not just because they mix your classic Asian pop sounds with American hip hop and RnB touches. Just take a look at the backgrounds of its members:

MC 40 — Canadian-born Taiwanese
Harry — American-born Korean and Taiwanese
Aisa — Japanese
DJ Chung Hua — Taiwan-born Japanese

And it’s not pronounced “duh” mouth, but 大, “dà” with a downwards tone — Mandarin for “BIG”.

I caught a ride home and Da Mouth’s second album was playing in the car. I was like “What is this?!” And you know we cover a lot of Kpop on Ningin so everyone in the car kept giving me a hard time by saying “It’s Big Bang. It’s Big Bang. If you like it, then it must be Big Bang. No, maybe it’s 2PM.” Ha. Ha.

Anyways, after a good teasing, I’m borrowing Da Mouth’s “Wang Yuan Kou Li Kou” (王元口力口) album right now and I’m liking what I hear.

Check out this MV I found for “Yong Yuan Zai Shen Bian” (Always By Your Side) - plus it’s subtitled! Hit the little up arrow in the right corner then click on CC. Sweetness!
