Move over Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Adele. Allow me to introduce to you, Germany’s Jennifer Kae. At 20 years old, this girl’s got a huge voice that packs a whole lot of soul into a small frame. While she primarily sings in English, there isn’t much background on her that isn’t in German. Basically, she was born to Filipino immigrants in Germany, ended up on a German idol show and was contacted by Tokio Hotel’s producer to make an album. The result was a very pop, but soulful sounding Jennifer Kae. If you like a lot of 60s inspired pop music a la Amy Winehouse, Duffy or Adele, you’ll like Jennifer Kae. Check her Myspace for tour dates, especially if you live in Germany. Thanks to Forever 21, here’s a song that’s been in my head for days:

Jennifer Kae - “Do You Love Me?”:

Jennifer Kae - “Do You Love Me?” amazing live performance:

Um...her sound is old but her voice sounds current to today’s artists. The only difference I see is that real instruments are used in place of computers to enhance the sound. Her voice is nice but it makes me wonder if her voice can be up to par with the sound.

Be up to par with the sound of today? I say screw that. I’m glad she’s singing what she wants and how she wants to sing.

amen sistaaa~
as long as she still sings well, i dont care what kind of music she does. she’s got an amazing voice ^_^

That’s fine but the two (her voice and her sound) as much as they try to, don’t balance each other out all the time, which kind of disrupts the flow of the songs I’ve heard her sing.

Her face creeps me out
