This past Saturday I was able to experience the awesomeness that is known as Epik High. I Waited hours in line, with my feet aching and feeling very tired and sleepy. But when Epik High showed up on their bus around 5, the crowd got excited and so did I. This concert was my first concert and probably one of the best I’ll ever attend.

It all started off with Dumbfounded hyping up the crowd and doing a little rap of his own. He introduced each performing act, starting from Far East Movement to Kero One and all the way to MYK and Epik High. All of them gave mind-blowing performances and had terrific interaction with the crowd. They even threw out a few prizes and items into the crowd, one of them being an autographed Map the Soul book album.
Epik High sure knows how to hype up the crowd. Everyone was getting into the music: bobbing their heads to the beat, swaying their hands to the rhythm, singing along with the lyrics, and jumping and dancing when things started heating up. Verizon Wireless even gave us glowsticks to enjoy the show even more. I have to say that Epik High fans are very passionate! The guy in front of my friend could not stop moving to the music and I don’t blame him. I swear that I was going to become deaf from all of the yelling in the crowd rather than the music pumping from the speakers. I just got to say that it was an amazing audience that I was proud to be a part of.
I found out that the workers at the House of Blues offered access to the front of the line to people who purchased $15 or more of their merchandise (not Epik High’s). I just thought that those people had VIP tickets or something but got a little suspicious when the “VIP” line got longer. I think it wasn’t fair to those who actually waited more than 10 hours in line (me being one of them). But in the end, it did not matter so much since I got a pretty good spot but I do think that the people who waited since 8AM deserved to be right in front of the stage.
I finally got to buy their book album and it’s absolutely amazing. I also got 2 black t-shirts(one for me and the other for my friend), a towel, and the free Lost Maps CD. The prices were pretty high so I didn’t get to buy as much as I wanted but I think the items were worth its price.
Unfortunately I was not able to go to the meet and greet at Pasadena because it was my sister’s birthday. It’s cool though since the concert was very satisfying.
Here are some fancams (made by me so it’s not exactly great quality) and a link to the pictures. ENJOY~
Pictures of the concert are here.
Map the Soul
One
This was an encore performance and my batteries to my camera ran out so I missed MYK’s part of Map the Soul.
