I’ll admit that as a grown woman, I don’t cry much. Ever. Except for when Charice Pempengco performed her latest single, “Note to God,” on Monday’s Oprah show. I shed tears not to mourn the loss of teenage songstress dreams past, but because Charice just gets to you that way. Apparently, she gets to Oprah that same way as her performance caused Oprah’s waterworks to start running. However, could you expect anything else from a talented16 year old who rose from poverty to potentially rival the likes of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion?
It also helps that the song was written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster. Without the Warren-Foster team, the world would have never known of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion or Mariah Carey. Check out the performance that caused me to lose my shit, before Oprah takes it down:

If this song sounds familiar, it was actually released by Jojo in 2006:
For those of you going, Charice who? Her epic performance on Korea’s Star King show put her on the map in 2007:
As much as I love Jojo and think she’s talented, Charice just really makes you feel this song. Head over to iTunes for Charice’s “Note to God” single. Stay tuned for her new album release in the fall!
