The MAP THE SOUL Tour steamrolled through New York City yesterday and it was the hottest party in town! I’m not just talking about Kero One, Far East Movement and Epik High putting on stellar performances — I’m talking put 1000+ people in a room with lights and huge speakers, have everyone jump around for hours and don’t turn on the air conditioning - cause that’s exactly what happened last nite at Irving Plaza.

The place was f*ckin’ hot! Like someone at least turn on a fan or something cause sweat is just running down my legs. Towels were passed around on stage to wipe sweat off of everyone’s face. At one point, Tablo wiped the sweat off Mithra Jin’s face, then his own, then threw the towel out into the audience. Of course, the crowd went wild!

Everyone came out for this show. The line to get in went around the block and people walking by were totally confused. Why? Cause the crowd was so diverse that you’d never think it was a Kpop or hip hip or Asian concert. People thought there was some sort of diversity conference going inside of Irving Plaza. As Tablo told the crowd, the concert had turned into an “international” and “interracial” event.

Me and Tina Chou, the Ningin photographers, sweated the show out with the AllKpop crew, SeoulBeats, MKTV, and Korean Beacon just to name a few. I heard someone from Kollaboration was there too, but I can’t confirm it.

Enjoy these pics I grabbed during Epik High’s performance. Tina Chou will be uploading a photo gallery of the entire nite soon, and expect a video from the NYC show before Memorial Day weekend’s over!
