U.S. Blu Ray edition.Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is hitting a big screen TV near you on Tuesday, June 2, on Blu-ray Disc and it is a digital eye candy feast! Danny posted up about this being released back in April. He was all excited to watch it on his 40″ Bravia XBR4. Well, I got to watch the FFVII Blu-ray projected from a Sony PS3 onto a 16″x9″ theater screen and it was incredible. The detail, the color, the sound — whoa.

Advent Children Complete has an extra 26 minutes of footage and one tricky story to follow from director Tetsuya Nomura. Other Blu-ray Disc goodies include β€œOn the Way to a Smile – Episode: Denzel,” a new anime short prequel to Advent Children, and an exclusive first look at upcoming Final Fantasy XIII!

The Blu-ray also features an English dialogue soundtrack featuring Rachel Leigh Cook (Jose and the Pussycats) and Mena Suvari (American Beauty) but after hearing both the English and Japanese dialogue tracks… I’d have to say go with the Japanese track. Subtitles require reading and I heard reading is good for your brain. Not that there’s a lot to read here, this is CG’d action movie hits first and asks questions later.

Bonus! New York-Tokyo and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment gave us a few FFVII posters to giveaway. And they’re the Japanese edition! Pretty sweet! They’ll be going into our weekly EXP contest prize pool!
