The last time I made snapshots of the After School album I got some people to actually buy the album. A few members on Soompi and Ningin both sent messages and asked me how they could buy the After School album, so this time I’ll simply repeat the process. More »

It looks like the girls really are going for world domination! In an interview with Sina.com during their trip to Beijing today, the Wonder Girls revealed their plans for China during the later half of this year. More »

My dearly beloved Lady Gaga has arrived in Japan this week to perform and promote her hit album, “The Fame.” The reigning pop princess, paid homage to Japanese style by donning a lolita-inspired dress and Ganguro girl-influenced make-up. Not taking cues from Gwen Stefani, no Lolitas or Ganguro girls were harmed in the process of dressing (or promoting) Lady Gaga. Next up? Hopefully Japanese talk shows and most definitely Korea. Perhaps, she’ll talk with Dambi Son again? More »

When I first saw this pix, I was like what is a bunch of girls doing in a orange cream striped outfits. Turns out, it’s SNSD doing a CF. Makes sense. So this is pretty cool, since it’s shot in the Seoul airport and they invited their fans to join! More artists should do stuff like that.

Between filming her newest music video “ENERGETIC” which is hot off her U.S. debut album, BoA made a new twitter account. (Psst..most likely so she can stalk Justin Timberlake). FYI, the choreographer for Energetic who goes by Tucker Barkley also did Ava’s Crazy as well as Britney Spears Circus. What a resume! More »

As if they haven’t learned anything from the Edison Chen’s sex photo scandal, two well known Korean male artists took some 140 sexually explicit photos at a nightclub in Seoul and now the photos have been leaked on various websites. These photos show these two dumb asses kissing and petting with two girls. The photos also show them flashing their boobs, peens and vajayjays, and the gals trying to pull of a Thailand sex show act by holding beer bottles with their breasts (next time they should try showcasing their lower body strength by shooting darts or ping pong balls instead). Pic’s released from new film Avatar, the Last Airbender directed by the king of twist endings M.Night Shyamalan. Being a big fan of the anime series I am a little disappointed by the casting of almost full Caucasian cast except for Dev Patel as Zuko, who in my opinion would have made a better Saka. I am hoping that M. Night redeems himself after his last few films and does not rely on his twist ending ideology to save this film. Here are a few pics released by the studio to start the hype. I’ve been noticing that the weekly competitions have been more intense since we first started with more people trying hard to win the top 3 spots. This makes me happy to see. Since the competition is going up a bit, we’re going to try and increase the prizes a bit too. We’ll be offering more variety for both the weekly and monthly prizes. Instead of just music cds, you can now also select from a list of movies and anime DVDs and other types of merchandise. I’ll go into more detail about that in a later post. More »

2ne1 is hot, literally. Their song FIRE lives up to its name and was the perfect introduction to a new, innovative urban dance pop group. Their song is absolutely grooving and catchy — their stage presence is lively. 2ne1 has taken After School off its crown and has taken all three Cyworld Awards! More »

Hollywood has been getting remake rights to almost every hit Asian fare for some time now and have finally realized the potential of hiring Asian stars to promote their movies to global dominance (cha ching) at international box office. It has been happening for a while, ever since Bruce Lee made Asians cool round the globe, Hollywood has been trying to blend Asian stars into Hollywood fare. They tried a few times to make Jackie Chan a name with some crappy B-grade Hollywood crap like “The Protector” and “Canon Ball Run” which did horrible at the Box office. Finally, they just decided to release a Hong Kong film dubbed into English “Rumble in the Bronx,” which turned out to be a huge hit paving the way once again for acceptance of all Asian filmmakers and stars from Chow Yun Fat, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li to John Woo. This weekend will be the sixth year Loving Day, nationwide celebrations marking the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia (1967), the Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage in the United States. Multiracial Americans are the fastest growing demographic group according the latest census figures (AP). This year holds special significance because of the election of Barack Obama, the first multicultural US president. June 12 marks the anniversary of the court ruling, but Loving Day Celebrations are typically held the closest weekend. This year it’s Sunday, June 7! More »

I think I mentioned somewhere before that celebrity dating is always a fun sight. They always lead to celebrity breakups which is even more fun to see! The internet has been buzzing a bit about Jaebeom of 2PM and Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls having possibly dated. This photo was from Jaebeom’s Cyworld page. Does that make it real? No way to know for sure. But I’m thinking if I was a celeb, I would throw random stuff like that online all the time to make sure people keep blogging about me ^^
