Ivy just entered into total star status right before she disappeared into a long hiatus, for the past 2 years but was forced out of the industry due to some exaggerated and unfounded scandals. What once was just a simple relationship turned into sex, lies and videotape. Today, there still exists no evidence of a real sex videotape, and indicates it was a lie from the boyfriend.

Korea happens to be too influenced on the effect of its Netizens, rather than truths and law so it was understandable why she couldn’t continue her career.

In addition, Ivy faced some song copyright issues with legendary Square Enix for the music video “Sonata of Temptation” based too closely on Final Fantasy Advent Children. Some other things dealing with security and force with fans didn’t turn out well and the singer was forced to to absorb all the blame.

However, time has healed some of these issues, and between the forgiveness of her companies and affiliates and fans, hopefully she’ll be able to comeback in peace rather than pieces. Now that she’s back on her feet she’ll enter in the studio soon and is projected to release an album this fall. She last focused on RnB /Pop which was most popular in 2007, but will she return as an edgy dance artist in where the trends are heading?

All in all, as a fan I wish her the best of luck and just want more of her music and dance.

The MV was copied bit by bit from the fighting scene in FFVII Advent Children. They shouldn’t have done that in the first place!

In kpop there’s like only two styles, RNB or Techno. Whatever happen to krock?

Eck who knows..Japan fully embraces rock, so I’m more into the rock bands there but not the pop groups so much, but I like the pop groups for Korea.

Trax had very mild success in Korea. FT Island is doing ok because they are a really an OST style, well rounded type rock band.

She’s a popstar. Of course she will. If you’re a pop star and do not evolve, you’re not longer a pop star.

I can’t think of any big pop star who doesn’t evolve or change somewhat. I’m guessing she’ll go from RNB dance to more electronic dance to meet the trend, but I don’t think she’ll be turn into like blues or country if thats what you mean.

Actually BoA did some jazzy stuff like Do the Motion for one song, so its ok


I wonder if she’s gonna change her style much.

I was an Ivy fan for awhile. I missed her.


One of my friends loves Ivy. She is so happy to hear she is coming back.
