Rimmel, a popular London-based make up brand, has choosen Ayumi Hamasaki to be their very first character image for Asia. Other celebrities that model for Rimmel include Kate Moss, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Lily Cole.
Rimmel has been around for 175 years and is now providing beauty products for 56 countries across the globe. Rimmel hopes that Ayumi Hamasaki’s beauty and popularity will help expand their Asian market.
Advertisements will be shown throughout Asia in the start of August with Ayumi Hamasaki showing off her eyes with Rimmel’s ‘Sparkling Graduation Eyes’ product. This particular product will be on sale in Japan on August 7.
Ayumi Hamasaki has also expressed her feelings to visit England with this opportunity.
Rimmel has made a smart decision in choosing Hamasaki to be their Asian character image. Hamasaki is a fashion icon in Japan and is the first artist to have an album debut at #1 for 11 consecutive.
