For reasons unknown, Charice uploaded then deleted her acoustic cover of Miley Cyrus‘ “The Climb” on her official Youtube channel last week. Through a stroke of my sheer Youtube genius, I’ve managed to recover the video…off of someone elses’ channel. The video itself, is yet another testament to Charice’s talent and nothing really new except for that it’s apparent that she can play the piano. So why take the video down?

I can make a stab at why. First, Charice’s ‘Miley’ vocal registry sounds a little too much like Miley. Charice’s voice isn’t as full bodied as we’re all used to, but she pulls it off. She does let us know at 1:07 with a belted note that she’s still Charice but besides that — it’s just WEIRD. Or perhaps not weird, but maybe another insight into how complex her talent is. Or maybe it’s a conspiracy theory and Miley’s voice is really just Charice’s? Or maybe I’m just getting way too creative. Czech it out:
