The summer comes to an end, while the Brown Eyed Girls have taken the no.1 spot for Kpop viewers in Korea! Whatever happens, we can only speculate. Maybe it was some combination of Brown Eyed Girls releasing their album at the very end of summer? Possibly the viewer’s newly acquired taste in mature, edgier themes? What do you think?
Overall, the two biggest groups of the summer were SNSD, followed by the Brown Eyed Girls. The other groups still presented great music, but only one winner is allowed. The Brown Eyed girls owned the variety shows, while SNSD had the highest overall sales and popularity for the year. In the pic above, you can see SNSD’s leader Tae Yeon hanging out with them. This is friendly rivalry indeed!
With the fierce change of winning hands between girl groups this past summer, maybe the boys will stand a chance next year?

Even though Brown Eyed Girls released Sound G in the end that they still won, I think it’s b.c the sexy theme is waaay good at marketing and B.E.G. took it to more extreme than SNSD did >< I can’t stop watching Abracadabra myself O_o;
Can’t wait until next big KPop invasion!
