Masahiro Matsumoto was just a regular 23 year old railway worker until he was running late for work on Monday, August 10. Needing an excuse for the boss, Matsumoto decided to press the emergency stop button that halted a commuter train for about 4 minutes. He was arrested on the same day.
Apparently Matsumoto was trying to cause delays on the train line so he could tell his boss that his late arrival could not be helped.
The quick arrest of Matsumoto was no coincidence. Police were already looking out for suspicious behavior as six similar cases occurred prior to this incident. Police are investigating the 23 year old railway worker as to whether he was involved in them.
Going kinda far just to get an excuse, don’t ya think? I mean, he got arrested. He probably lost his job too. Tsk tsk.
