Remember the times when co-ed groups in music were a normal thing? I don’t mean frolicking in the nude Woodstock-style. That’s a bit too much co-ed involvement. I mean in the 70s and 80s when groups like ABBA and Roxette dominated the pop music scene.

With the rage of Korean girl groups filling all areas of music trends followed by boy bands, a co-ed group has been announced. The group is allegedly remaking Abba songs, but with a more modernized spin. Taking it a little further, they suggest they will be more suitable for today’s generation and trends in Korea. The group consists of four ulzzang competition winning vocalists: Jin Woong, Rika, Nara, all 21 with the eldest Han Yeon, 26. On a surprising note, they all play instruments as well.

Will this group capitalize and complete what the A-Teens were striving for?
