Starting on August 31, Nissin will release limited edition Gundam Cup Noodles which will contain one of four 1/380 scale Gundams (smallest Gundam model kits ever!). The models available are RX-78-2 Gundam, MS-09 DOM, MS-06S CHAR’s ZAKU II (red) and MS-06F ZAKU II (green). These names probably don’t mean much to most of you readers except for the die hard Gundam fans.

Bandai also plans to produce 1000 Master Grade Gundam RX78-2 1/100 scale model kits for the Gundam collectors out there.

Unfortunately on the same day of this release, the life size Gundam in Odaiba will be taken down. I’m not an extreme Gundam fan but it would have been cool to see the life sized ‘robot’ in person.

I guess these cup noodles can count as Happy Meals for adults since you get food and a toy. Hmm…too bad it’s in Japan…
