Have some extra cash? Why not buy one of Softbank’s Japan Texture iPhone cases for 1,000 bucks?

These special edition cases are covered with lacquer and gold dust and depicts drawings of traditional Japanese artwork from the Sengoku period. Each case is also named after famous samurai such as Naoe Kanetsugu and Sanada Yukimura. The cases will also come with a handy storage box, an exclusively designed pouch and a booklet explaining the historical background of the design.

Each case is handcratfed and takes about 3 weeks to make.

These are some pretty sweet cases but even if I had an extra $1,000 lying around, I wouldn’t spend it all on a cell phone case. Would you?
